Oops, my mistake! I guess people could do Dover if they want, but could be inconvenient for most as it means going on the M25, which I'd prefer not to!! The Harwich one would only be 77 miles driving abroad versus 203 miles if you were to arrive in Dunkirk and go through France and Belgium. But whichever way suits you best I think. We could still all meet up on the Saturday even if there were two seperate convoys.
Car museum sounds good to me! But yes, probably a bit too far ahead to plan that far!!

Errr... I thought my knowledge of Dutch towns was pretty good, so I got very confused by this 'knorrehous' you mentioned. Turns out it's a b&b called knorrehuus ('oinkhouse', guess it's an old pigsty then) in a town called Ede!

Giving this thread a nudge, any J-tin people care to forward it around their clubs for possible interest? Maybe we should produce a flyer or something.

Me too! My passport ran out something like 3 years ago.
What would be REALLY cool is if some other countries got in on the act, I know Norway and Finland have events of their own, wonder if some of their lot would be interested? Might be a bit of a drive though!!

You may need to warn them to hold the meeting in a bigger place due to all the thousands of cars planning to come! Though I'm not expecting absolutely loads of us to be able to make it, it would be really cool if we could get as many of us there as possible. It wasn't until I started looking at ferries and things that I realised how close this meet would be. People go to the Nurburgring all the time and this is even closer. Plus the more of us going, the more mechanical experience available when someone breaks down.....

I can't promise my attendance, with family things etc and it being so close to other events it's a bit tricky. But, I did manage to go to a Dutch Z/ZX show in 1995 when a few other 'normal' Datsuns also showed up, it was a good do.

Hmmm... I might be up for a jaunt across the channel. I'll put that date on my calender and see what I have ready to roll nearer the time. Hopefully my Sunny truck will be done by then.

Ooh, this is snowballing nicely now! I know with stuff like this it's the last few weeks that matters (due to family concerns and the likes), but it's cool that so many people are interested.
Sounds like it will be an impressive convoy!

You should bring the entire Japanese side of your collection via a network of a-frames, a bit like those Aussie "Roadtrain" things.
