I know i'm early, but since it's announced again, i'm posting it up here ;D 06-07-08 it's time for the 4th Japan Classic Sunday, organized by the Dutch Classic Toyota club (TACN). It's held in Lunteren, somewhere in the middle of The Netherlands. Address: Café Restaurant De Prinsenhof Barneveldseweg 16, 6741 LK Lunteren. It's a meeting for every, classic/youngtimer Japanese car. It's a really relaxed meet, almost the same as Billing, but sadly it's only 1 day. But it's certainly worth the while! The entrance of the day will cost €6, for that money you get: - 2 vouchers for drinks/food in the restaurant - information about the meeting and the opportunity to drive a nice route (if you want) - your in the 'game' for a price, every visitor gets a chance to give his top 3 in every class (classic, youngtimer and modern sportscar) Programm: 10:00 - Meeting starts 13:00 - possibility to drive the tour (if you want) 16:00 - prizegiving 16:30 - end of the meeting

Sounds cool! Some really rare and unusual stuff there, mad mixture! I don't think I'd trust the Charmant to drive that far though.

why not? If your Toyatshu is as reliable as my Corolla (allmost the same setup ) it won't miss a beat on that distance . And i'm sure your drive will be LOT's more comfortable then mine, with my stiff shocks

There's a few things need tweaking, I think the carb needs sorting out. Then again, if I haven't sorted that out by July 2008 I'd be surprised!
My worn-out shocks actually need replacing so it isn't that comfortable a ride right now, I'm working on that!
I'll keep an eye on this, it sounds like it'd be an interesting meet.

oh btw, maybe a bit early for this kinda info, but i you don't live far up north in the UK, just take the boat from Dover to Dunkerque (Norfolkline). Saves about 150-200 pound then when you go from Harwich to Hoek van Holland. When we went to Billing last year we took this boat. Maybe you need to drive a bit longer, but for that money, you can get pretty far Maybe we Dutch guys can set up something for the day before

As per discussions at RR show, who else fancies this? I'm up for it if there's a few of us going.

As advised by thedoctor, I think the best way to get there would be Harwich to Hoek van Holland which is about £100 return. Nice and easy for most of us, but even those of us who are more up north should make the effort to get down there as the Hull to Rotterdam ticket is double at £200! And I'm tight. Plus it would make it easier for us to arrange some sort of group convoy. Seems a lot more convenient than going through France! Seeing as it starts at Sunday 10.00am and finishes at 4.30pm, you could probably do it as a day trip quite easily unless you're based quite far away from Ipswich - but does anyone fancy a weekend? We could head over there on Saturday, go to the show Sunday, then come back either Sunday/Monday? Perhaps suitable camping/hotels could be recommended closer to the time!

A weekender sounds good to me Seeing as we are going that far we may as well make the most of it? I have only ever been to Amsterdam so it would be cool to explore a bit more of Holland

well, i advised to take the ferry from Dover to Dunkerque, because that trip would cost around 70 pound for a round trip, but 100 isn't bad either , you'll drive a lot less miles then I'm sure we can set up something for you guys on saturday, there's a nice car museum in the South of Holland (owned by the Toyota importer of Holland, but more rare old cars are there) or we could do something else, but that's for later
