Guys, get your newspapers right. The Guardian is a LEFT WING paper read by people with beards in Islington who probably complain that they haven't let in enough foreigners. The Telegraph is a RIGHT WING paper read by retired people in Tumbridge Wells who probably complain that they've let in far too many foreigners. They both have their good and bad points but I think in the context of this thread you mean the latter, not the former. Back on topic, here's the BEST POLSKI FIAT EVER (searches good stuff here. www.shorey.net/Auto/Eastern%20European/htmltree.html

As Leep and VIP say - time is limited to 6mths ( this is the rule for UK cars abroad too but isn't really enforceable so you get away with it ) and I have to keep taking the UK registered motors back across for their MOT's. The German Alfa and Suzuki get TuV'd and the insurance policies are a nightmare! Registering here in Belgium is a disaster zone, in at least 2different languages depending on which commune you're in etc... Single zone my Well hello from up the road in Zeeland!

I think they should let more Poles into the country, aslong as there all female and good lookers. All the warehouses I go to seem to employ thousands of stunning Polish blonde women, on the forklift, unloading trucks e.t.c. Poland must only have mingers left now.
Oh this is a car forum.. sorry didnt see what they drive to work in. Probably an FSO 125p or something.

Here in Leicester there's a large amount of Polish guys, most of them roll around in really cool looking cars. The best one I saw was a 4door E30, decked on 16x9 Borbet A's, with a really mean sound system. It was soooo clean and well presented.
Apparently theres a certain amount of time they can drive the cars in the UK like somebody else said, however it's not really monitered WHEN the car actually came into the country!
I say fair play to the Polskis, they work hard, do manual jobs that most of us would complain about and quit, and rock around in cool cars.

I have quite a few polish customers, and a fair proportion of the spares bought in the scrapyard over from me go in a container to poland...
As far as I can see, the poles who have moved here buy and run UK cars, a number of them have taken the uk driving test to get a UK licence (seems it depends on when the polish one was issued), and they are nice, polite chaps who don't quibble about the price charged. I even had an offer of more money, and then a free pack of beers when I refused, cos he thought I was undercutting myself! That doesnt happen often, believe me.
On the flip side, there are a few tatty euro spec mondeos and vectras kicking about on polish plates, but I bet a penny to a pound thats the local travellers in a car they just bought. There is also a Seat terra van in bavaria beer insignia parked at the side of the road near me, polish plates, hasn't moved in months but still there and not ticketed. Its a busy road too!

During the Battle of Britain, the Allied pilots with the best kill ratio were the Poles. They were................ motivated. If you Brits want to kick the Poles out, send them here.

I can say what I want. I'm spawned from Ukranian gypsies. Heh, you think I'm joking too Join the club, i'm another one who's ancestors headed over from the east as gypsies. Most of the Polish lads round here (Peterborough area) ride around in Opel's, older Beemers and VW's decked over little, wide and unrecognisable wheels. Two that stand out are a Mk3 Golf that HAS to go everywhere ridiculasly slow because it rolls so low and a Mk4 Polo that is also pretty slammed over what look like ATS Cup inspired wheels. Theres also a green Opel Vectra Estate thats got a mean stance and a set of smallish, wide and shiny multi-spokes. Admitedly the majority of them drive INSANELY, over/undertaking 2,3,4,5 even 6 at a time. Tail gating is mental too, I nearly had two geezers in a bright yellow A3 ON my backseat a few days back.

Chill chaps.....keep it car like. When I worked for Royal Mail, all the Polish chaps were all over me to talk about my mk1 and the E28....and nearly fell over when I said we could go for a spin. Nice chaps - generally, and some of their girls - not only beautiful, really friendly, down to earth and into cars !!

i agree with the comments on the polish ladies...
there IS something in the water over there!!!
loads of polski wagons in MK, some cool, some standard lots of late 90's stuff, driven like their asses are on fire! not seen any cool old stuff yet tho.
had a few polish lads when i was a delivery driver, good workers, like the germans but with more of a sense of humor (and MUCH hotter sisters...)

I noticed in Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre (Castleford) you can park free in the car park you have foreign plates! It says so on the sign and everything.
If I ever need to park there I'll be whipping out a set of those Japanese plates, that'll show 'em. Fight the power! Etc.

These are the radioactive ones - look pretty well stripped, imagine buying a front wing with a half-life of 2.5 million years? I always wondered who would be so desperate for a GAZ bonnet that he'd get one that kills you if you sit behind it too often There's some nice low hour Mi-26 helicopters there as well which I've always liked. I don't think I'd want one though.

There's a late model Polonez in Greenock, or rather there was, sort of emerald green five door one, I think it's about a '95 or '96 one. Haven't seen it in months right enough, but it was immaculate last time I saw it. Bodywise a lot like this one.
