Twin turbos and only 283 hp s?  It is about the same as the AMG of the era, but done via turbos rather than bore/stroke I guess. It does seem quite low, although speed would not be the reason to buy this car  |

Twin turbos and only 283 hp s? Welcome to 1989... its amazing how forced induction tech has come along since then. There were twin turbo Corvettes making 345 BHP off a 5.7 twin turbo, and latterly GM's LS1 made that with no turbos. But didn't have to deal with 1980s tech and emissions issues. I think going back to some of these old cars and making the turno / suercharger work to modern standards would be a right laugh. The old Turbo Trans Am for example and the Oldsmobile Jet Fire.... yeah, those would be fun with modern tech turbo stuff. |

Honestly? Pretty busy!
Work has been mental, and I think I may take a break from the corperate life, or at least move to somewhere less political/overworked. That may be a movement within the company, or even away from it, as a couple of folks are advising me to do. I suppose it's a shame when you don't mind the folks you work with, but something has to change. Not being able to sleep well/remaining wired etc. isn't right.
But as for other things, it's been fine.
The M3 went out for one of its few drives before I take it off the road, and rectify some things. I need to update the thread as I've made some changes on that lately, and enjoying another chapter with the car. The bike thread also needs updating, as I've acquired another one, for a specific task, which is not commuting on it.
I've also been helping a mate sort out a Mk4 Golf R32. But that tale can wait for a while
I went to the very last Fargo meet yesterday, with a few mates. Despite being quite shattered, I got some pics, and admired a few cool cars. These included a:
-VW Puma
-E36 Alpina B3 3.2
-A VW T2 Bay Window with a 1.9 PD 130BHP engine conversion, along with an IRS conversion on the rear
-A 911 Carrera RS, or at least what we thought was a replica
-Several Mk2 Golfs, including a G60
-An R107 on Lorinsers
-Generally, a crowded, but very well catered for event, right on my doorstep.

I took last summer out of the consultancy world to run mtb events. Pay was very average, but to be busy doing something i loved with great people made me an entirely different person. From being physically ill with stress i flipped a full 180 to genuinely being a much better person to the people around me! Do recommend, even if it's just a break! |

Had a package turn up from Japan today. After being despatched back in August, I'd almost forgotten about it!   A single Rays Volk Cv Pro 17" x 10. Bought so that I can finally have a matching pair for one that I've had for probably 6 years at this point   It'll need a refurb when I come to actually use it but it's in great condition, I'll need to find someone who can reproduce the stickers as I'd like to replace those when I do refurb them |

Struggling - and all self inflicted really. Passat estate I had been borrowing has to go back. Fixed my daily - lent it to uncle who's car broke down. So, bought another car. 2 days later lent that to mate of my PT who's car broke down. Fixed another car, for MOT on Monday, which is to be lent out as well. So I have that to use (with no MOT) for the weekend.
I would use my work van but that's currently full and also protecting my (loaded) trailer which will 155million% go missing if the van isn't blocking it in.
On top of that, currently working 16+ hours a day to try to get on top of things at work, which still isn't enough, turning away work despite taking on 2 more staff, can't get my head around some of the technical stuff we're working on at the minute.
First thing that goes when I've no time is healthy eating, and trying really hard not to eat curse word - so just not eating at all lol. I've just over 4 weeks before I go to Nepal so I've to get some jabs and cannot get GP on the phone (they are useless..) and sort some other stuff out too. And get new staff trained up so they can manage themselves while I'm away and out of phone contact.
Fun fun fun!

Had a really product day, but still not got the forum sorted enough to put it live.
With any luck I can sort it Sunday and put it live at the start of the week next week.
Other than that, looking forward to SEMA, waiting for the big reveals at the start of the week.
