Well this was an odd one. Originally it started out as a Club Retro Rides meet, but somewhere along the line the venue had published the date as part of their regular themed Sunday Cars and Coffee type meets, which actually probably wasn't a bad thing in retrospect because I've been having crazy comms problems with Club RR emails. Also I realise now there was A LOT on the weekend I chose to do this. So I put out a couple of messages on here, an Instagram story a few days before and then a post the night before (I didn't want it to be tooo manic as I didn't really know what to expect space wise). Turns out we had room outside the front of Industry and Supply for about 10 cars. There was also another Cars and Coffee going on down the way a little bit at the unfortunately named Gasoline Juice, so it was double bubble. When both had run out of room cars ended up getting parked just generally around the place, which made for a nice vibe. The very first two cars to arrive were this MX5 powered Viva and the Cavalier next to it, which is going for paint soon and is full on Max Power era car, owned and built by someone who I suspect wasn't even of walking age when Max Power was a real thing but that is kinda cool in its own way. This Starion has been to a few RR events now, the owner is great, super enthusiastic about this and their other slightly obtuse Japanese cars. Made me wish I'd bought a Starion instead of my Sunny to be fair. Maybe there is still time to add one to my life. HARDCORE bought along his daily, which as dailies go is very very cool Hotrod and Almera adam73bgt and friend en route to Cov Motofest after hanging out with RR folks for a bit. The Hotrod was a friend of the owner of Industry and Supply which was a nice addition to the line up. This 240Z was meeting a friend (who had a nice BMW 2002) for a coffee at the other meet, but parked up with us and looked spectacular Cappucino and Mini were together I think, Mini is for sale, I've got a high rest enough photo to make out the details if anyone wants them. Always nice bit of variety at RR things More to come...

I stopped and had a natter with ExJarkle HARDCORE and Colonelk for a bit over lunch and a cup of tea (well, they ate a sensible lunch, I ate a slice of victoria sponge the size of my head) When we emerged again a few more likely suspects for RR association had turned up. This Carlton may or may not have been with us: johnthesparky definitely is with us, and we managed to catch him, his lad, rainking and Abbie, and two more who I'm not sure I know if they are forum folk or not, for a drink at the on site brewery after having had more of a wander around. DarrenW 's Golf that clearly doesn't exist, in fact this is obviously a picture of nothing. 99% sure the Avantime is an RR'er but didn't see anyone with it until I was on my way out, if you are around, sorry I missed you. Big Imping Actually big Bentley was with the Gasoline Juice thing, made a hefty noise. Is a Mk6 straight 8 apparently E36 double vision, looking good in the sun Also popped in to Bagged Benz to see Dan as this is where his workshop is, chocked full of stuff. The fact he was in work on a Sunday is also a reasonable illustration of how busy he is, we didn't interrupt him for too long. Much goodness going on in his place (also not just Benzessess'), this is his previous RR Gathering Car Of The Year winning OM606 swapped Benz Last but not least I took a couple of beauty shots of HARDCORE 's Merc as the venue really lends itself to some nice photos, and I had my proper camera with me. So there we have it the Club RR meet that became a general RR cars and coffee meet, and worked out great in the end. Means I need to organise a couple of actually exclusive Club RR things to make up for the confusion though. However I hope to be back and doing this again at some point next summer,... maybe not the same weekend at Coventry Motorfest though. If anyone from here came along I hope you enjoyed yourself, I had a great day out and the drive there and back (2 hours 30!) was actually delightful.

This looks like it was a great day! I really wanted to go and have always fancied visiting industry and supply but I couldn't make this one. Really looking forward to future club and non club exclusive events whatever they may be. Even though I couldn't make it, as always a big thanks to the retro rides crew for organising great events, anything that is ever attached to this forum always brings the best kind of cars and people together.

Nearly missed the black coupe Benz as we were leaving, certainly some cool stuff there
Also someone turned up with a Chrysler Crossfire just after the Imps 😅 could have compared with mine if it was on the road
