I have a habit of buying random magazines from Japan when I'm bored of an evening. These were ordered between 10 and 11pm on New Year's Eve. First up Custom Car Magazine Japan Mainly I got it to look at awesome HiAces However I found it also has their Mooneyes Hot Rod and Custom Show as well as SEMA coverage in there. As well as some smaller events This also gets a feature, a fairly legendary Supra Finally a couple of Minitrucks, because it is always the year of the minitruck Obviously there is loads more in there, but a little taste is enough. Next up some Kaido/Bosozoku stuff from Showa Street Racer Memories!!

They’d be like buying a porn mag in the 80’s then? Just look at the pics & never read the articles

When we had our layover in Japan last week I tried to find some Japanese car magazines, but the newsagent at the airport didn't have any and outside of the airport we went to the wrong area, as there was no newsagents there. Cool to see some this way!

Part of me wants to know where you order them from, and the rest of me knows that finding out would be a really bad idea for my wallet... I've got a few older ones here that I've been given over the years, I'll have to dig them out!

Cool to see some this way! The large bookshops in the cities tend to have an amazing selection of mags for just about every hobby you could imagine.

Are printed magazines still a big thing in Japan then? It seems to be dying in favour of websites/facebook/instagram here. What are the big titles for our kind of thing?

Could I beg for a larger picture of the bits about the Healey Sprite please? I might be able to do better than that... I believe it is a HiFence Car Club car, and can find some better photos via Mooneyes too.
