No mention of how it's balanced. Think it'll just be a gimmick, a inline 4 of that capacity would need a crazy balance shaft setup to even get to fairly low (4-5000rpm) limits.

That's a very good point, it sounds like it's early days for the engine so they've not crossed that bridge yet

This month's mostly been sourcing materials to extend the garage when I get time next year, I've also purchased another big printer to convert into a sublimation one to print some retro-inspired shadow boards in an effort to tidy the aforementioned garage. I've been giving some consideration to furthering my garage stuff too. Going to carpet tile the floor again. Still got a bunch of stuff in there from when I moved house last year though, which could do with going up in the roof of the garage, but that needs boarding, which is a whole pain to do because it is high enough for storage, but not high enough for me to stand up in. I should probably start a Garage Life thread on it to encourage me to do stuff. I tried that, it didn't work . Technical questions don't matter too much. Without saying to trying to steer how you do your garage, I'd be careful of foam/carpet tiles, if you have condensation issues. My garage stunk of damp when I got the house. It's got condensation in it this time, but with no tiles, and there is no damp smell this time. You can get vented tiles to help with this . I shuffle foam times around to where I am working. But again, this is only what works for me . The dampness is definitely because of the temperature change. Our work building is like a tropical greenhouse now, pain in the having to cover every thing you don't want to go rusty. Hopefully the dry/wind and big doors open for a couple of days will sort it. Superb tip that, regarding the doors. I opened up the garage door and the condensation is down to a very acceptable level now. On the plus side, my 325d rolls beautifully down the road now. I can't believe (well, I can) that I let the brakes get that bad. It may explain why the MPG tanked over the last month by around 7MPG.

I carpet tiled my old garage, and it was great and inexpensive too as I got second hand office floor to do it with. Smoothed the concrete in the old garage (don't need to do that in the new one as the floor is nice and straight), cleaned it of dust, then carpet taped it directly to the concrete. Worked a treat.

Need to do more suspension faffing (front is as high as it goes, rear is as low as it goes, makes for interesting handling) but look half decent.

And I won't sit down. And I won't shut up. And most of all I will not grow up.

As Chas says, you do need to be careful. How/when your garage was constructed and how it is damp proofed/insulated/ventilated can make a big difference as to wether a ‘warm’ floor will work or not.

http://instagram.com/p/CmgnmIGNhpy This is a spot the difference. However I'm quite taken with the fact that the car looks like one of those "I showed a AI bot every European car from the mid 60s to mid 70s then asked it to design a European car from the mid 60s to mid 70s" things.

Whats big, red, makes you smile and arrives on Christmas eve?
My next project car it seems.
Rotton or not it was a price to good not to try. May well be full of rot but if the worst happens ill defo make money from breaking it, although its certainly not my first priority. Will have a proper poke around its nether regions tomorrow.
Decision on even bothering filming the project is tbc, noticing a supreme plateu on the vids I'm making at the moment, latest one was woefully taken up. Thats a January review job though... its Christmas!
Hope you have all had a relaxing one!!
