The Jags are a great call. VIP's need to be a long & lowish saloon with a good amount of grunt to pull the weight in addition to being top spec to start with. Personally, a 4 & 6 pot just don't cut it for the VIP scene. This could work if it could be dropped a fair bit: I would really like to see one of these slammed and with no jumbo jet wheels!

These would also work Accord underneath, so coilovers are easy. I imagine a bolt on 5x114.3 hub conversion is probably possible as well which would open up all the VIP wheels.

Bristol 603 Blenheim could work except for it being a two door. Trying to think of the cars that were available from the right time period (80s-90s), in the right body shape (four door saloon), with a decent sized engine, and with a plush trim leaves you with pretty slim pickings from British manufacturers. Vauxhall will give you Senator and Carlton, Ford will give you Granada/Scorpio, Jaguar and Rover have a reasonable assortment of offerings, while Bentley, Rolls Royce, and Lagonda are pretty much VIP out the box. Aston Martin weren't really doing anything four door (Lagonda aside) in this era, at least not that I can remember. Whenever I try and think of something suitable that ticks all the boxes that you'd find on British roads, it's almost always from a Japanese or German manufacturer. There is the Aston Martin Vantage Specials that were one-offs that would probably fit the bill. They probably don't count though, since you can't really buy them.

I think the rover works but as cool as the tummy is, in my head it's more sporty than vip. Another car I've just thought of that hasn't been mentioned yet is rover 800 coupe. That could work.

It is interesting, British cars were once the measure of luxury saloons and by the 90's it is a market that only really seems to be occupied by Jaguar, and then the sort of ultra luxury marques like Bentley and Rolls Royce (and even they seemed to be a bit dated in styling, harking back to an era of dominance).
I think all the earlier cars are ripe for modifying though (and could certainly take some classy restomod treatment, as well as good reliable low + wheels).
I'm trying to think what an early 90's executive may have been driving or be driven around in, but I think it is probably mainly German.

It's definitely slim pickings from "normal" manufacturers, even a bit further afield other than Germans you had the Renault Safrane and Peugeot 605 but I don't think they'd suit the look quite as well. Personally although a bit new I think a Citroen C6 would look banging but they have a whole list of horror stories regarding ownership.

DB7 wheels? I think that's a good match with the car.

As is a mercedes (now that HotWire had loosened that narrow circle) I´ve seen once somewhere around here. I guess it was a W111 in a dark green, nice stance and the headliner was made of cloth usually used for luxurious ties of some british company. Had no luck finding that pic though.

Always thought the later facelifted Rover 800 could carry the look quite well?
