IMO they have shot themselves in the foot, the Australian market is highly patriotic, yes it might be assembled in an Australian plant but anything that isn't an Aussie specific Ford (rip) or Holden is going to be viewed as a foreign curse word box.

Usual argument, LHD is more countries, RHD more people, because it includes countries like China What’s the betting Vauxhall’s next?

RHD is blue 😂 Do you understand what population density is? Do you? RHD is used about a sixth of the world's area with about a third of its population and a quarter of its roads.

The shouting has already started! Although watching some of their programmes there seems to be a strong Japanese foothold, certainly pushing Land Rover to a minority share

India and Japan are pretty densely populated, but is that enough to counter the amount of LHD countries?

Do you understand what population density is? Do you? RHD is used about a sixth of the world's area with about a third of its population and a quarter of its roads. And what percentage of its GDP? A lot of the RHD areas are small, densely populated and rich. Countries such as japan and the uk. Car ownership rates are far higher than in the majority of the rest of the world, hence why there are as many RHD cars as LHD ones globally.

Although watching some of their programmes there seems to be a strong Japanese foothold, certainly pushing Land Rover to a minority share In the off road market which is huge you buy a land cruiser. Massive numbers are sold every year to the mining industry. Modern Landrovers have an appalling reputation in Aus following their notorious electrical problems, classic vehicles are still popular work horses. As the saying goes if you want to go bush take a land rover, if you want to come back take a land cruiser
