Hi All,
I would like to hire nice car to drive to the beach in for my birthday mid December. Does anyone have any recommendations for places that do this. As much as I would like a tiny sports car which isn't out of the question, I am thinking about a slightly bigger car as well so I can bring my little one as well.
Has anyone done this and can point me in the right direction to a company? I am based in the Midlands as well.
Cheers Tom

No personal experience of them, but if you're looking for a sports car in the Midlands, Morgan do car hire www.morgan-motor.com/hire/

I used a Toyota Kluger for a week in Australia earlier this year. It was a truly horrible car. Don't get one of those.

Cheers guys,
That Morgan from Revival would be great but it's too far outside my area to do a collection then my planned trip which is a shame. I can do a 2 day but I wouldn't have time to drop it back off.

What sort of car would you like to hire exactly? Give a couple of exact examples. That may help.

I am not fussy. I would hire anything fun. I have put a reservation on a Tesla for the day but it can be cancelled if something nice pops up. I don't want to be spending over £200.

Good luck hiring anything for £200 it probably wont get you a car at all. I looked around for ages for me and my father to hire something for a weekend but in the end i hired a car off a friend that would have cost me a fortune from a hire company. We took a friends TVR Tuscan S to Wales for the weekend.

My birthday is similar time, from past experience with birthday days out I'd recommend a 4x4 to hire. I doubt you can hire soft top vitaras though. maybe a jeep?!

That's not a bad idea at all to be honest, an off road driving course would be fun and vehicles usually provided.

Sorry to hijack, but my wife has been asking to drive a Willy's Jeep. I can only find places online that rent them to film companies.

When I was down in Cape Town a couple of years back there were a few places on the beach that you could hire Cobras for the day. Well, replicas. And Harley's. Just down the road was chapmans pass, one of the best driving roads on the planet. Would have been nice to hire one for that drive, but with 6 of us had to make do with the crappy Toyota 7 seater we hired for the week.
Sixt were advertising daily rental of Jag F pace for less than £100 recently.
