Save up... About as aspirational '80s as you get. Or a Jaguar.

This is currently in my watch list and seems an appropriate suggestion www.ebay.co.uk/itm/rover-820-coupe/303360167680?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 I'm mostly eyeing it up for that turbo T series engine which would fit nicely in my MGB but I do also quite like the 2 door version of the 800 I can also vouch for the 2nd Generation Honda Legend being a nice car to own (save for the ignition switch in mine playing up) but a word of caution, they are a bit tricky to get parts for. You can get most things for them from the US, but its the cost and time for them to get here. 3rd Gen Legend seems to be better catered for, and the 1st Gen Legend (if you can find one) is more related to the 800 so might be a bit easier also.

I always thought this rover was rather special, not strictly 90s, but close enough!

Toyota Camry would be an interesting choice. The ultimate conservative styling for the middle class family, which was genuinely good and reliable.

Did this rough old chop ages ago, there was a vip'd saloon too but I have no idea where it is. Hope it helps I thought that was an sd1 at first. I really like that, and i'll chuck another OOOoooooffffFFFff in there for good measure. The 2dr coupe was a car id completely forgotten about. Stancing one of them would be off the scale.

I'd love to make this happen! What's the wheel fitment in these barges!? 4x114.3 I think, sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm right it is a veritable smorgasbord of cheap and awesome choices. although many will likely be a bit small I suppose?

Thank you! That's the other big Japanese car I was thinking of, one of my mum's posh friends had one.
