So back at the house we dumped the Challenger and decamped into Brianโs daily Impala. Headed down to the Rural King shop via i70 This is a gun, feed, tools, clothing and all sorts farmers style shop. Driving there was fun as I had to get Bryan wound up for his way of pronouncing Rural, more like Rule. You needed to be there . Managed to stop a shopper with this beauty, a dog toy. Rural King has an all day, fresh FREE Popcorn machine. And itโs good. So while we were buying some T-Shirts and hoodies, Bryan got bored and went and bought himself a littleTaurus .38 Special. Itโs that easy and fast. From there we headed to Rookies. More in a bit.

Back in the room. At Rookies Adam joined us, and we started with two buckets of beer, Bud Light for me, and Michelob Ultra for the girls. Plus some snacks...... Wings as always for me. Bryan taught me another Southern, or is that St Louis trick...... Fried Ravioli Holy Mother of Food !!! These are good with a nice dip. Of course the beers were flowing fast already and it was only 5pm Our waitress Megan was kinda AWESOME.......KELLY BEWARE.She was also game for a Selfie with me. Craig is soooo trying to stitch me up again, but this year, Adam is in on the game. So I need to sleep with one eye open. VIDEO: We then decided to head back home again to have a few drinks as Dennis and Tyler had made it home early. Outside.... Oops... Rain. Back home we carried on drinking at the workshop. Short ladder? Dennis is still building his NASCAR Based 66 C10 street sleeper. His GMC Caballero still used regularly as well. More rain. Truck City. Can you say 6.7 litre Diesel Drinking party...... Tyler, sitting rear, centre on the cooler box had brought me a gift of a bottle of Jim Beam Vanilla Sadly, the bottle died very fast..... And it seems that it goes incredibly well with beer....... I had forgotten by now to be cautious, so was to blame for the death of the Jim Beam. Bryan at this point went to his car to fetch his new purchase to try out........ This is America after all. And still it rained. At some Point Debbie and her sister Dianne came to check up on us, to see if we all wanted dinner...... I got a hug and โselfieโ in my quickly deteriorating state from the girls. Keep in mind, I am a control freak, and never get curse word, ever. Alcohol is my enemy. So by 7.30 we had made a consensus decision to head out to a Mexican restaurant in Wright City for Margaritas and dinner, only boys...... More later, itโs 07.00 on Sunday, we are in Springfield, Missouri, headed for Route 66 later, off the beaten track picking. Later guys.

Before leaving, I rummaged I a box of for sale parts. My truck never had a central mirror. And the hole I previously welded up in the dash for the radio?? Looks like I will be cutting it back in again, just more neatly this time. What a find for the 66 C10 And then we went off to the Mexican restaurant Meet Dennisโ school teacher friend Kim. Margaritas and Menus. Our waitress, happy to wish me a happy birthday or whatever. More jugs landed on the table, and my state of mind slid into oblivion. Beers Jim Beam Margaritas Jet lag.......... Recipe for disaster. Typically, craigrk seems to be watching me for every screw up and managed to find me almost with my face in my Tamales. Eventually made it home at some strange hour. Adam had won $115 on two scratch cards at the restaurant and picked up the bill. Adam, Tyler and Bryan went to the casino after dinner and Adam won another $300.00 So a good night. Saturday morning we were headed out on the trip proper via Petes for breakfast and a car show. Yup, my kinda Road Trip. I trust we still have passengers.

Saturday more I g we were up early and got ready, rain forecast around St Louis area. So we were going to toss our sports bags into a black bag, and onto the back of the truck. This whole Midwest thing of total trust, leaving doors open, property on the back of trucks overnight, through the day etc, still blows my mind. Guess......... Supplies..... And packed up, ready to roll. First stop breakfast Then car show. Old and new on display. Can you say Kiss a Frog? Calling craigrkOuma โLiLBLAZER ANYONE?? Love these. Satin, lady owner. Proud owner. 90k miles, two owners. Fake patina sucks. Dennis bought this fir Adam when Adam was 4 years old, he also painted it. Adam, his son drove it all through school and college. Not finished, but a brutal truck. After this we headed back home to fetch some forgotten stuff. Then we headed out, well after midday.

After the car show, we headed home via the late a Mike Mittler race shop to buy a few things. I loved this, $80k NASCAR motor on offer for $15k what a bargain. Then home to pick up stuff and drop some stuff. And reverse out of Adams place with the Dually, interesting. And finally off. Interesting places. Stopped at a junk shop. Loved this for $5.00 Meet Mandu, he instantly attached himself to me. Made it to Cabool, stopped at a local flea market. Spurs for sale. I still was looking for a pair of old spurs. Where else can you buy guns out on a table in a field. Bought a knife, as you do Dennis and Craig found stuff too. From there we went to meet Rex for a few hours. I was interested in one of his 54 wagons. Last week in the woods...... Before he fetched it out. More later.

Ahhhhhh Grizz roadtrip has begun, such good reading, definitely keeping this tab open Thanks mate. Its good already Loads of stuff cannot be captured on here. But its mad already with the four of us together. Adam is the new joiner, quiet, observing, but funny as hell. And naughty luke his dad. Dennis in his usual way just tears us up with all the funny stuff and observations he makes. Craig.....? Brains of the outfit. Gotta have eyes in the back of your head around him.

After saying goodbye to Rex, we headed to Springfield Missouri for the night. Passed a few of these. Driving down to our hotel, this greeted us. All of us catching up on the day. Dinner was here. No waitress. Desert was good. Reception were fascinated and nice to talk to. Next morning, up early..... On the road. First stop.

Looks like youโre having a great time grizz, weโre not jealous at all! Oh and if youโre at any more flea markets, steer clear of any Harry Potter books, apparently they have been banned in part of the states over fears they are black magic if read aloud! Donโt need you getting burned at the stake, or was that burned steak?๐ฌ
