My shout for another damn good looking modern....Alfa Giulia.... Fine choice on the CLS always liked the lines of both the saloon and especially the shooting brake. Unfortunately the rear hatch design vs large dog + pram ruled it out for my daily purposes and the mundane but practical CRV and its cavernous shed of a boot won out... There is something about the Giulia that whenever i see one i think of the E46 M3

I quite like a lot of modern cars, but these I have quite a hankering to get hold of at some point...

I think it's the best looking current estate bar none... Have you seen the current Volvo V90? Elegant, purposeful, and the interiors are something else. There's an artist's impression of a polestar version that made me do an outloud "oooh" in the office agreed on the volvo , its about the only current thing i would be arsed to turn my head for a second look at. its very very classy without looking like its trying to be (think totally unnecessary styling swoops and creases , tarty baubles of trim and other garish addendum...or any current peugeot in other words). some of the current bmw coupes look ok...but i'm not interested enough to even know which ones! generally it takes me 4 or 5 years to start to like , or at least vaguely appreciate , the styling of new offerings.

I'm not sure if this counts as its a bit more than modern, its future, if/when it gets released in 2020 Honda Urban. In that mossy Renault colour pleasethankyouplease.

Agree with rblote on both of those The new Volvo as mentioned up there has a really nice design. The current Suzuki design language is really nice too (although not beautiful). That new electric Peugeot is rather special.

New Job Geordie?? Whats happened to the coffee shop you both ran? Still running the coffee shop dude. It's not quite at the point where it can support us both though, so Julie is working in occupational health now for a private company.

Agree with rblote on both of those The new Volvo as mentioned up there has a really nice design. I see why more than one of you guys like the Volvo, but i still think the CLS Shooting Brake has better lines and is a better looking car.

i really like the teardrop side windows of the cls (just like the passat cc) but the volvo has simple yet classic styling , nothing un-necessary or contrived about it.

In recent years, I was very impressed with the Peugeot 2 door bubble roof coupe, the RCZ IIRC? And the 8c from Alfa. I love also the shape of the newer Audi rs6, but I think it's handsome and aggressive rather than beautiful. we refer to these Peugeot coupes as an ALDI TT

I don't really pay to much attention to modern cars but the v90 also stands out for me And the only other car I've seen recently that I like is also a Volvo The polestar 1

Probably the best-looking estate car I’ve ever seen. I don’t think I’ve looked twice at a Volvo Estate since the 240 other than an 850R in yellow maybe!

Looking forward to seeing the new Griffith in a darker colour! They did wrap it in a lilac shade for a few events which I liked better than the test cars red paint. Unfortunately I will never be able to afford one 😭

I love the CLS shooting brake! My son has a regular CLS and I think they are a great looking car. Being a bit older I have an E Class estate - which I think is a great looking car (more handsome than the saloon) but like everything, its subjective!

BMW i8 for me. I walk past a bright orange one most days, and it looks amazing. Oops, sorry, it's not supposed to be for supercars! So I withdraw the Beemer, and nominate the Skoda Superb estate: and the Ford S-Max: and the Volkswagen Arteon:
