Wow, really something for every taste.
Am I right that the Project 8 is Harry Metcalfe's?

Am I right that the Project 8 is Harry Metcalfe's? Yep. Top Gear mag's Tom Ford is heavily involved in all this, so a lot of strings were pulled to bring in many cool and high-profile cars over the weekend.

It certainly looks fantastic. It would be hard to pick one thing out of that incredible line up but probably the XJR15 for me.
The Clarkson review is indelibly burned into my memory. Beautiful Fury!

Saw the pics on facebook and was impressed with the selection and quality of vehicles, no surprise owing to it's proximity, that there were some Jaguar/Gaydon specials in there. Love the idea behind it part pub, part art gallery, part shop, part garage, part man cave, part show venue, part hipster home Hope to visit at some point, although I visited the British motor museum last year (it's well wortha visit) so might not have a legitimate excuse ......

Really excited about the idea of this place, and glad I’ve just moved within a semi sensible distance of it! Would be perfect for a mid week Retro Rides meet up...

It's time I put a few of my pics up. There really was a variety of stuff there for everyone. A damn busy event too! I made both days but I ended up only doing short stints on both. A mate of mine brought his bus down. It's great to see it working finally: An Espada used everyday? Why not? Considering I am debating refurbishing the 18s on my M3, this car helped to make my mind up a little there on colour. It's interesting to see another Mystic car with a blacked out front end. I'm still unsure about it. Like many things there were some great things in the car park. This included a race-prepped Pug 205 GTi running a VAG 20T Turbo with it. A couple of MX-5 kit cars also made the show. What else was there? An Alfa 4C with some interesting modifications done. There was also this. You see a number of XK8s with a subtle drop and louder exhaust, but seldom do you see one slammed, semi-murdered out and what looked like a dildo for a gear knob! One for the Jag owners of pipe and slippers disposition? I don't think so. While I love G-wagons and often think of buying one, I don't think I'd buy the new AMG items. Yes, they are lovely to drive. Yes, they have all of the kit in the world. But subtlety is not the first word that comes to mind when you see the new-uns! A couple of the local usual suspects came along for the party too: This 450SEL 6.9 was all sorts of lovely. Did someone say Ronin?: Yes, it's a new-un, but when have you ever seen one of these? A Model-X? Yes. But not the 'affordable' one. By the looks of it, it was a test car for Tesla. This Toyota pickup was all sorts of cool! By the looks of it, the pickup was now running a 4AGE powerplant: Audi Quattro Coupes are a rare thing but you rarely see the early twin lamp models. The only other one I've seen is in bits at a local garage: This 205 was lovely: And next time I'll have to buy another lens for my SLR. The iPhone is OK for pics but not great. But it's far more usable at a show IME than a 35mm prime lens, my only lens on the SLR.

That there be a Model 3, I'm fairly sure thats one I've seen around Gaydon before Indeed it was . I've seen a couple of Model Xs before, but it's the first time I've seen a Model 3 in the flesh. It's interesting that it's been at Gaydon. I figured being a Tesla owned car it would never set foot in the competitors lounge. But I guess it can do .

Wish I'd headed across from Silverstone last Sunday lunchtime now. The Espada is so cool.

This Toyota pickup was all sorts of cool! By the looks of it, the pickup was now running a 4AGE powerplant: I wrote a feature on that one for Fast Car - it's running a Mazda MX-5 1.8 with a Subaru TD04 turbo. 220bhp and built for drifts!

Aha dbizzle ! That is why the engine looks familiar! Is there nothing an MX-5 engine goes into? I'm not going to lie, I was pretty hungover when I saw that on the Sunday!
