i found these on another forum and i couldn't resist sharing them with you guys. Such a shame we only got the 4 Door Carina and the Celica's. That Carina Coupe looks AWESOME, but the Corona Coupe is even better ;D 1. TA63 Carina coupe 2. TA63 Carina sedan 4. TT141 Corona sedan 5. TT141 Corona coupe! 7. TA63 celica notchback ALL of these cars have the 1.8 8V DOHC twinspark turbo engine (3T-GTE) producing 180 bhp. And all we got in the Carina was a lousy 1.6 single carb making 75 bhp

Boxy but good I think Hirst mentioned this before but the Japanese really do love making white turbocharged cars don't they? TURBO POWER!

is it wrong that i'm thinking of mounting this front end: to my Celica similar to this one: That would make a great Carica i think I've seen it done on a Supra MK3 (Soarer front end) and i absolutely LOVE it ;D Ah well, just keep dreaming i think. - i couldn't EVER find a sqaure light front end for a Carina nor the rest of the normal Carina parts easy and relatively cheap - the Celica i've got is for sale - i haven't got enough money for my normal projects, so this one is even further out of sight

Carica sounds like a brilliant idea! I'm a big fan of the Soapra. The opposite version to that, the Suparer (if you like) looks very awkward though - can't find any pics of that but at least one exists.
The white cars thing is mad, I read somewhere a few years ago that around 90% of new passenger cars sold in Japan were white. I think it has changed in recent years though as a lot of new models don't even offer white now.
I think a dream car for me would be an 80s Japanese 4 door with twin turbos. Possibly in white for dull points!

you mean something like a Chaser or so? That would be ace with a 1JZ/2JZ engine (they probably where sold with 2.5 1JZ in the days i think, only in the 90's tho). The Carica is growing on me too, i tried to photoshop a Carina front on my Celica Convertible, but i couldn't make it work, because a lack of pics at a good angle . I can see a Suparer in my mind, and indeed it must look awfull, just as a Celina i think

That one's more my style!! I have a lot of love for the facelift JZX100 Chaser though.
I love the excessiveness of 80s J-saloons! The idea that you could just go into a showroom and ask for something with huge buttoned seats, no pillars, a massive tape deck with a graphic equaliser and a great big twin turbo engine makes me weak at the knees!
