So I'm getting ready to have a 10x8 shed/workshop fitted in the back garden. One side will be for my old games consoles and other such mancave nonsense, and the other I want a proper workbench for the numerous projects that I do for fun.
I'll definitely be getting a vice, I'll have my soldering iron and dremel stand stationed in there too. What other things would you suggest? I'm thinking grinding stone, mitre saw, maybe a pillar drill?
Lets hear your ideas

Gaffer Tape to stick bits that need sticking. WD40 for bits that are stuck but shouldn't be.
Pillar Drill is a good idea but get a decent one - the cheap ones have too much play for accurate drilling.

As boring as it sounds, get the tool you need for the job Most of the tools i have i bought over many years specifically to help with certain tasks Unless you're in a Brewster's Millions situation and you need to spend a certain amount before the time runs out. In that case, something like this

Short of your generic tools like sockets, hammers etc. some cars can have certain tools that are a life saver; my Spring clip removal tool for instance has been handy on so many moderns now. But otherwise that is it. I'll assume you have sockets, jacks, axle stands and so on. I have these tools which I tend to use more often or save alot of time with in comparison to the others. - Impact Wrench 1/2" ; it's sped up jobs alot!
- Gear/pulley pullers ; On some bushes these have made the job alot easier like E46 Lollypop bushes and rear ARB joints
- Laptop; saves me chasing things I don't need and seeing what the car thinks is wrong
- Various oil filter removal tools ; easier to remove and saves wrecking a driveway
- Vice on a solidly mounted bench ; I won't say any more here
- 2 types of drain trays ; One of them is a pain to clean up for oil but has a large capacity
If I wanted more it would be the following, but I need the space for it: - A car lift of sorts
- Large air compressor
- Various air tools
- I'm sure I've missed something!
