As if one playtime car wasn't enough, I decided to double down... Mk1 1993 Fiat Tipo Sedicivalvole, 5 doors, on Alfa 164 wheels. All standard and will probably stay that way. MK2 1994 Fiat Tipo Sedicivalvole, 3 doors, currently in final stages of having a Fiat Coupe 16VT engine installed.

Fantastic. I can't remember the last time I saw one of these, there can't be many left in the UK now? I don't think there were that many to begin with!

Awesome cars, love them in black with the red trim. I had a red one when I was 18 and I loved it.

Fantastic. I can't remember the last time I saw one of these, there can't be many left in the UK now? I don't think there were that many to begin with! Accoring to Howmanyleft.co.uk, there are 11 on the road at the moment, about 40 SORN. Even with a heavy pinch of salt, that's perilously close to extinction! As with my previous prediliction for Uno Turbos, hoping to keep a pair on the road a little longer. Can't remember even seeing pictures of 3dr, so looking forward to more. Oooosh I love them, had a 1.4 Tipo as a first car in 08 and even then Sedicivalvoles were rare. Get a thread up I want to see more Your wish is my command... Bought from a friend friend on the FiatForum 6 years ago, previously known as Milkbottle due to the numberplate, was renamed as J-Lo, due to the huge Tipos have: First big run out for her was at Spa Francorchamps and the Nurburgring: At the time I was also running a Mk1 Uno Turbo: Being a MK2, and despite the rarity of a 3 door, there was always the nagging thing that a MK1 5 door original would need to be aquired at some stage, and it was: however, the less said about the crashing disappoint that was the Dyson exhaust hosed, barely held together Sophie, the better. So it came to pass that a few weeks ago, whilst wandering off a main road, I stumbled across another Mk2 in black... not the greatest looking example, but seemed solid, and the interior cloth was spot on. Got chatting to the owner, and about 5 minutes later a deal was struck for her. A couple of days later, J-Lo met her new sister: She has been dubbed Beyonce by my friends, for obvious reasons... the plan, for what it's worth, is to run them side by side, attend a few shows next year, make a return to the Ring and hopefully Spa for more fun.

I was very close to buying a turbo diesel Tipo in 2001. It was advertised in my local paper so I rang up, left an answer phone message and heard nothing for 5 days, I phoned back and the owner said that he had been away on holiday the previous week (obviously an ideal time to advertise your car in the paper), and had sold it to a chap who had called him that day and had just left! no concept of first dibs at all, what a plonker!
I bought a mk1 golf diesel instead, so it wasn't all bad (just much slower than a Tipo TD).
