Looking for inspiration for a custom Minor saloon (2dr) that I have floating around in my head and have been thinking about rear lights for it. My google-fu (like the rest of me) is pretty weak so I thought I'd ask the inhabitants of RR for their suggestions, observations etc. Here are some stock rear lights to kick off...  |

I don't think ive ever seen one without either stock Lights or tunnelled lucas lights.

I cant help looking at that PT cruiser parked in front of it and thinking those rear lights have got to be worth a go.

Once saw ap picture of one, with late lights turned 90 degrees and on opposite sides

Seen a couple of Morris' with different rear lights on, most memorable were VW 'elephant foot' rear lights like these:  Memorable for all the wrong reasons  , thinking about it I think I've seen them with early beetle lights on too. Think I saw a Morris done up like a old yank Ford, complete with 40 Ford double chevron rear lights. Looked quite nice IMO  |

but I have a dislike of cheap repro teardrops, probably as I put them on my first car (beetle)
There is an abandoned (in garden) old custom morrie on my road with tunneled lucas Lights, unfortunately in the 5 years ive known of it ive never had enough money to bother asking about it.

Teardrops were what I was thinking as I opened up the thread, only trouble is they only come in red I think?! So don't help with the indicator / reverse.
I guess it depends on how custom you're going, could hide indicators and reverse inside the window and tear drops for tail and brake lights on the wings.

I quite like the tunnelled lucas look; perhaps you could look at a modern alternative to be different though (dependant on the overall look you're going for). These hella units are well made (using them on my build): www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231629969466 |

To me, the 39/40 Ford teardrops are a little overdone, and tunneled 59 Caddy's are too But advantage of the caddy's is that you can get them in 3 colors.  And depending on the style of the build, I like Fiat Brava lights.  I used a set of those on a late '40s Chevy truck  |

I've seen them grafted onto another car's rear in the same orientation and layout as the Brava but didn't look as special as that.  |
