I've long thought our section of the car magazine market could actually cope with a different kind of approach to magazines and content. It looks like someone is taking that on with : Rusty : wearerusty.com/"We love cars. We love all of them. We are passionate about the waving lines of an Italian coupé, the precision of a 300SL's dashboard, the durability of a Land Rover Series I and the practicality of a Fiat 500. But our jaws also drop down when we see a groundscraping hot-rod rolling by with the exhausts in flames, when we look at a bouncing low rider, or at the wheelarches of a bosozoku-style Toyota CROWN. But how can all of this live together? Easily. You don't need to decide whether you eat the chips or the burger. You can go for both. All of us want the same. To spend some petrol-filled time with crazy people like us." I know they are looking for cars to feature for future issues, they seem to be pan-European or indeed global in their reach. Who would you put in there from the UK for a tasty feature? They have a facebook page too : www.facebook.com/wearerusty/

In a world where established names struggle to run one magazine they're gonna launch two at once?

In a world where established names struggle to run one magazine they're gonna launch two at once? One Magazine, two covers, same cross content. As for established magazines, I suspect at least one publisher has an insane business model and other publishers are expecting the same sort of returns that they used to get, whereas a new publisher doesn't have that expectation. I don't know what the release schedule is, but I've long be an advocate of quarterly journals rather than monthly magazines. Fills a quality gap that the internet can't provide.

Now that makes more sense, at a glance I thought it was pick which side you want and it would try and force you to buy two magazines. If its 2 for 1 it looks like a good idea.

Instead of having a front and a back cover, it will have two front covers and the two sides will meet in the middle of the magazine. It's an idea to divide original and modified classics in two groups and just a reason to be different that any other magazine. It will be released every three months and we'll call it spring-summer-autumn-winter issues. In very high quality print and paper, 160+ pages, it will be something that looks good in the top of a coffee table or bookshelf. I'm the publisher by the way and I'm very thankful about this share and all the feedback you are giving!

Will this be available in shops only, shops and online or online only?
Best of luck too, looks promising.

It's hard to cover all of the world's shops, it would need millions of copies, so it will be available in our online store or by subscription. Maybe at some newspaper stands at airports, but that's under negotiation yet.

Looks really good. I've given up on monthly mags now since moving to Europe - it made me question just what was worth paying extra to get shipped over. Subscribed to Classic Porsche, which is six-weekly, and Hayburner which is quarterly. I'll pick up Airmighty when I see it, too. All are 'recent', and in the case of Hayburner and Airmighty are considerably different in style and ethos to pretty much any other magazine.

Looks promising. I only hope they get a proof reader in to make sure the content rises above the grammar.... It looks European, so English is most likely not their first language...

No it's not, we're all across Europe but no one of us is English. Of course at the moment of the launch we'll have a native proofreader so hopefully it will be enjoyable for you too.

Hayburner is a great example about thinking outside of the box when launching a new magazine.
Advertising pays for the mag, the postage is paid by the subscriber - the mag is effectively free to the reader.
OK so it isn't monthly but I stump up my £7.50 or whatever every year for it and I don't own a VW!
