^ that's a weird picture. The paintwork and the photograph itself both look to be 1990s commercial vehicle show fodder yet the van is clearly not.

As a VW owner, I'm appalled by the scene tax applied to T4's, 5's and now 6's! Any alternative is good by me, and as a Ford owner I wholeheartedly endorse the growth of the Transit as a cool alternative. And some of those are ridiculously cool! Nice work

Great thread. I just got the father in laws 08 plate Tranny when one of his workers ran it dry. Got an engine there for it which is going in next week but was unsure what to do with it. Now I'm thinking of a nice slammed day van

What's the best way to lower a transit? I read something about people fitting T5 coilovers to the front, but information seemed scarce.

Just need to drill out the hole in top mount. Also you can drop the strut down through the hub by drilling a new hole in the bracket on the strut. Gives about a 2" drop. For the rear you can either get decambered Leaf springs ( midlands springs do these) Or, as I have done is and axle flip as it's know. Cut spring saddle off the top of the rear beam and weld it underneath. then mount the beam on top of the spring rather than below it. Dropped mine down a good 5" at the rear and about 4" at the front.. and for the total cost of... nothing 😉

dread to think what the angle of the wishbone and steering rack are like! I guess there's far less travel though
