Hi new to RR and only joined because of my mg metro but seen as I have done a lot to my daily though I would put it up as well. It a 2003 2.2 diesel. 111k, 2 owners.ive had him 11 years and it's never missed a beat . He's been rebadged ,dethroned , smoothed indicators, smoothed petrol cap, smoothed, boot smoothed aerial ,and smoothed bonnet(washer jets relocated)lowered. Know as THE BOSS or THE ANTICHROME.

Not a massive fan of the smoked lights but everything else looks great!
How have you lowered it? Sits nicely.

Great to see one that hasn't been seemingly smothered in glue and driven through Motorworld at 60mph!
Like what you've done there, m'lad.

There is a thread about these things here and most agreed that many PT's are failures....This is NOT one of these failures. This is a great looking car.

Thanks for the comments, always loved and wanted a pt cruiser from the first time I saw one and got this one nearly 11 years ago and it has never let me down but then you get the cranks who let them down and fill them with tat . I saw passed all that and knew l could make it look good but I was in the pt cruiser club but they didn't like it and said it wasn't modded enough, they class modding as sticking wibblepoo all over them.went to a show once and the pt which won best paint was one with a big dragon on it which was actually a massive sticker and I thought this isn't for me.

That's gorgeous, it is the first PT Cruiser I have seen that doesn't look like it has a "His and Hers" pair of fleeces size XXXXXL with howling wolves on the back in the boot. Top trumps to you Sir!

Lahhhvli. Nice different daily that is.
These are on my radar as MTB luggers if I part with the GTI, but swmbo isn't a fan.
What's they like for Bork potential? Expensive on bits?

Parts wise once youve binned all the standard bushes for poly bushes general running costs aint too bad...
Diesel wise tho you always have the risk of the slave cylinder letting go then clutch slave master flywheel around £600 parts alone...

De chroming the handles took forever,if you rub them down on the inside where your fingers go when you hold on to the handle it will go through to the plastic underneath,it is only a thin layer of chrome plate over plastic ,and then I spent hours peeling it off and then just sprayed then with plasticoat paint.hope this helps you. Ps you'll cut the tips of your fingers to threads.
