In the middle of a normal day at work I called at a house and met an interesting fella, he had been ripped off at a couple of garages who hadn't done his tracking properly. He tried to buy a wheel aligner and found them to be hundreds of pounds. So he designed his own system to be used at home. As I left his house he let me have one for free. I haven't used it yet, just wondering if anyone has heard of them or has one. www.trackace.co.uk

Exactly the same as the old Dunlop mirror system that was used before 4 wheel systems came out . Any laser 4 wheel system is no different other than having a beam going backwards to static guages on the rear wheels so you can set the toe equally between both wheels which keeps the steering wheel straight .

I wanted to start a thread on these a while back, but I'm funndmentaly lazy and forgot.
They seem a decent idea and price and with the brief google research I did, people seemed to like them.

The hang on gauges still seem to be king as they take in all of the values require (thrust line being one forgotten on '2 wheel' tracking systems). Cheap, however they are not.
TBH string despite being a faff is still one of the most effective methods of tracking a car.

I've had one for a few years now and it seems to work fine.
It's a bit of a faff (although nothing like as much as string boxing) and is a pain in bright sunshine as you can barely see the laser dot to get it all aligned, but otherwise, it works fine for doing simple front wheel tracking and it's unquestionably saved me a fortune (not to mention lots of time) over the years when I've replaced steering and suspension components at home.
Originally I'd wanted a set of Dunlop guages which having used both are the better of the two, but couldn't find any for sensible money.
