And I'm back from Le Mans!
Expect the inevitable Le Mans Classic picture thread (and less inevitable vlog/video/thing) at some point in the next couple of weeks, in the mean time though here are some photos and info from the Friday Gathering.
We ended up having the chaps from Pistonheads piggy back our little event as they had their "pit stop" event cancelled at the last minute and wanted to come to somewhere to hand out their goodie bags. Lovely bunch of chaps who are much more well equipped with gazebos, branded stuff and Carambars then we are ... I had a chair under a tree and a bit of a breeze, so I was happy with that much. The day was HOT and we didn't really know how many people we'd have there given that it was promoted mainly via facebook, flyers with Le Mans tour operators and some forum sharing, also it was free so no tickets sales to indicate how it was going to be received. In the end I think we had about 230+ people and about 150 cars across the day, which made for a nice varied mix, and some fun soundtracks given some of the beasts that turned up, although UtterPiffle won the sound award as far as I'm concerned because the AMG 6.3 engine makes a delicious noise.
Anyway here are some photos so you can see what stuff a sunny day in France brings out :

A range of Britishness (with a sneaky German), this TVR is a SEAC, which I had to ask the owner about, it has a bunch of carbon fibre body panels. TVR were the first company to apparently do this (at least on a production car)
