And you thought my last two were drab uninteresting non retros!
This arrived because replacing the Wagon R+ after it's unexpected sale needed to happen pretty quickly. They had appeared on my radar before buying the wagon so it was not a completely random purchase.
It seems an adequate small car, with some funky seat rearranging ability and the possibility of a load swallowing luggage space.
The day before the sale of the Wagon R I "accidently" bought a set of banded steels that were advertised on FB and could be bought to Players. I had expected to turn these around pretty quickly just to make a few quid. In the end I used profit from the WagR to pay back the house for buying them in the first place. Having these already in stock, helped the decision to buy the Demio, as its also 4x100.
I've got this far, and now my mobile has decided it won't attatch the pics, so they will have to wait. Use you imagination :-)

The trial fit showed that with a heavy roll and a not ridiculous amount of lowering they will work. So I proceeded to paint them Pound Land matte black, that has come out more satin. They arrived with three good and one scrap 175/50. Because I can't lower it too much plans were hatched for a slightly taller tyre, the two best 175/60's from the Demio alloys for the 9" rears and a pair of 165/60's from the Wagon R steels for the 8" fronts.
The tyre swapping happened yesterday afternoon, the guy at my friendly part worn tyre place put the tyres over the rims but didn't try to mount them, with the plan that I would explode them on at home then take them back at some point for balancing.
Unfortunately this didn't go completely to plan, I spent all yesterday evening, and three tins of cheaply hairspray, failing to mount the tyres and burning off all the hairs on my arms.

Hopefully I'll manage to get the tyres on and wheels fitted over the weekend. I might stick tubes in them for a bit so the tyres stretch, before having a go at mounting them without.
