Hagerty is a US classic car insurance company, but their youtube channel has a couple of worthwhile offerings:
Tom Cotter, the author of The Cobra in the Barn, drives around the country poking around and finding old forgotten cars in The Barn Find Hunter episodes
The Why I Drive series is similar to the Petrolicious videos
The Redline Rebuild series covers the tech side...there's a time-lapse video usually accompanied by an hour plus explanation

7 pages in and no one has mentioned our channel, perhaps we need to rethink how we go about promoting ourselves! Anyway, if you want to add a bit of content to your subscription list, without weekly spam for the sake of monetisation, we would humbly appreciate the support: www.youtube.com/channel/UCpk6pvvHUPwbnl3zS7WAJ2wand a taster of what we do...

I've been getting into old US scrapyard/car hoarding YT channels. There's a few out there but this guy seems to be one of the most prevalent searchers: Seems like a lot of US scrappies are struggling with local planning just like the UK ones. There's a similar channel by Jonathan W. He picks up mostly old American vehicles, from Model T's to 1970's and virtually throws nothing away. He has a calm approach to the repair of his cars and his voice sort of draws you in. Well worth a look.

I've always been interested in Dennis Collins' businesses, Richard Rawlings senior when it comes to cars. He's run Collins Bros Jeeps for donkeys years, and loves European cars more than any Yank I know of. He is a total Porsche pervert!
He has lots of videos on picking up cars from barns and fields, and runs a well oiled business as you can see from his Coffee Walk series.
As an example:

Just looking at his list of vids there's a lot of nostalgia there www.youtube.com/channel/UCY1gTTyBQ8m9ZoRpd7rgQCg/videos

There is some good stuff on YouTube I'll admit but it's no better than TV really, in that 97.7% of it is rendered unwatchable due to the utter tool 'presenting' it. Most of these people demonstrate why not everyone deserves a career in entertainment as they are either stonkingly dull, a total c***-womble or worse still a hugely unappealing combination of the two.
I won't name names but some of the extremely popular channels listed on here meet both criteria with gusto. Still, they're popular so it's probably just me being a grumpy old git.
Also, no, I don't want to give you money via bloody Patreon.

Cool opinion, but its no worse considering most talk shows I seen adverts for on TV last night were hosted guests on Skype etc. Dull as dishwater.
