What was the retro car your girlfriend / wife hated most ? & Why ?
personally mine has to be the last Red Alfa 75 - the fuel tank was a bit rusty & whilst it didnt leak, it weeped a lot - so the car always had an odour of 4 star about it - including the cabin. It came to a head when we arrived a a posh party & someone at the party announced that they could smell petrol..........it was me & the Mrs !!!!!!!!! Persoanly there is only thing I like more than the smell of petrol or swarfega........

My BMWs I think. No idea why, she just hates them.
She loves the 205 though.

I'll give Ms R some credit here, we've been together a while now and I've had some right sheds, and controversial vehicles, and she's enjoyed it and even helped at times. The fleet has grown from 2 to 6 in that time It was the Numbers that pi$$ed her off! attempting to buy both a new project MR2, and Citroen BX after xmas was testing. but its the Alfa Milano that pi$$ed her off, well it was a secret for a week! still not sure if she's keen, not sure if I am with this weather attcking it! ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

My yellow Vauxhall viva 1300 GLS,she hated the fact that the lights would turn themselves off and on and she would always hurt herself getting in/out of it.Hence the name she gave it "the creepy viva"

My other half tends to keep quiet, as she knows she'll end up walking if she starts moaning !

Mrs Dollywobbler wasn't impressed by my Rover V8 (mainly because I cried everytime I floored the throttle and saw the fuel gauge drop!) but she outright hated my 1991 Isuzu Trooper. Which is fair play because it was awful.

Bought with no tax or MOT and we had no garage so it was sat outside the house until I swapped it for a chocolate bar. she hated it for fairly obvious reasons To be fair shes very supportive of any cars I've had that have run properly. but as soon as theres a problem she gets a bit annoyed.

Mrs BC has always disliked the Monza When I first got it it was a bit of a mess - so she didn't like it for being messy and smelly When I got it finaly on the road - she didn't like it for being a bit smelly (still damp) One of the few times she's been out in it was to go shopping - it broke down (coil failure) before it got her to the shops - Bad news!!! When I stripped it down to make it more track orientated - she didn't like it for the time it took Now it is as it is - She doesn't like it cos it's noisy uncomfortable and apparently causes a jeckel and hyde change in my driving style So basically she doesn't like it much - coupes should have a boot not a hatch she says, like a commodore does (ooooh thats handy should be a nice surprise when that one comes home then ;D)

My wife has always "tolerated" my cars, shall we say. She loved my Pug 304s Cabriolet, is slightly bemused by my Matra Murena, refused to go in my 205xs and absolutely detests the Volvo 480. Her favourite of my cars was the Citroen Xantia Activa, which bored me to tears.

My girlfriend loves most of the cars i've owned (but usually get intoxicated off once i've lowered the suspension!) Althought she hates mk3 Fiestas and Metros, purely because it's what everyone get once they've passed their driving test (she is yet to pass even though shes 26 and is a qualified social worker, driving is a criteria of the job and Torbay Social Services still gave her the job anyway?) I am slowly talking her into getting a Mk2 Golf GTi, 205 1.9 GTi or some other 80's hot hatch, I want to own be probably wont get round to buying

My Mrs is actually quite tollerant of my cars/projects, but she didn't like the first Carlton I had very much. Mainly because the exhaust allways blew no matter how much I patched or welded it, it smelled of petrol, the locks didn't work and every so often, a little smoke would exit the dashboard.
Wimmen eh!?!?!?

Capris. Not just the current Mrs. v8lee either but most chicks in my experience hate Capris. Personally I luv 'em. Capris that is, not chicks. Although I do luv chicks too, just not as much as I luv Capris.
I'll get me coat.

My mrs is very good, we own the van together and she tolerates the fact that I bought the wrong one and it's a heap. She's also resigned to the fact it looks like hell, although she did hint I should spray some of the odd colours an approximation of the main colour....
I've also put my BMW in the weeds so what was once a very practical cruiser now makes her boobs bounce around in a manner than quite frankly, can't be comfrotable.

All of them. Every single one represents a spectrum of emotion ranging from simmering displeasure to full-blown hatred.
Hates the cars. Hates the shows. Hates the "meets". Hates the forums. Hates eBay. Hates any time spent on cars in any way, shape or form.
I really should get a new hobby. Maybe self-harming. That looks like fun.

The chick she works with wants a capri. and then imagine my absolute surprise the other day when I was talking to her and she said "I'm undecided, I might not get a capri now, I might go for an old capri, you know, that consul capri. I love those at the moment" I didnt know chicks knew things like that

Mrs Sniper here, I have hated with a passion the following cars that he has bought over the years :
The VW Caddy ~ it was a pick-up, it looked a dodgy builders truck and was nothing but trouble. Was soon replaced by a Pug 309 which was a super car. The orange Fiat 131 estate ~ it's was an estate, I don't like estates and we never used it. Most of the motorbikes~ I don't like the things, the only exception was the yellow Puch Sports moped and that was cute. The imfamous brown '65 Hawk sitting on the drive~ yes it was a good price, but when is he going to get the time to finish it?
I won't say anymore. or he'll start on about my collection of fabrics sitting in our bedroom next to his collection of Humber bits..
I think I am fairly tolerant and do try to support him with his hobby. We, as a family enjoy the show scene and that. I do go by the thing of if you can't beat 'em: join 'em!
