Straight from the streets of 1992! Mercedes 280E Saloon. got this last year after lusting after a classic mercedes for years while building my bora around Mercedes wheels. I thought after changing all the hubs on the bora to 5x112 it would be refreshing to buy a car that my wheels fit without modification! This was after cutting the springs and fitting the Nardi 3 spoke wooden wheel that matches the trim pretty well! *stickyback plastic came off eventually Then Got some 16x8 AMG Penta wheels for a great price, so threw these on for a few weeks while i got my OZ splits machined out. Finally got my split rims on, OZ Pegasus from a 300ZX, DOUBLE STAGGER 17x8.5&18x9.5 5x114.3, Machined out to 66.6 and wobble bolts. £20 and some welding later...... And the weekend after fitting the DTM and being pretty happy with it, the weekend started off with a curse word friday night (Tyre popping off bead due to under-inflation on a stretched tyre) Then an even Curse word saturday.... To add to an earlier incident.....

Not to be put off, I waited for a nice cheap doner to come up. And up pops a facelift 300D! Swapped out the front end, guts and rear lights. Interior was minty fresh apart from drivers bolster, came with OEM rubber mats and seat covers!!(door cards had not been swapped yet) Leaving it like this, needs the inner wing sorted and some paint! but just glad its back in one piece!!!! Wearing the wheels off my bora (OZ Cygnus 17x8.5/10 5x112 ET18) Gotta love the Derv wing vents <3 Thanks for reading, updates will consist of bigger dishes for the Pegasus

Now off the road for winter to do some boring curse word, sort rear windows, upgrade brakes, refresh back arms.... But was curse word around with wheels and MSPaint.... Still unsure what do to wheel wise, Rear Pegasus have been swapped from a 225/40 to a 245/35...

I like those golden wheels. Shame about the old rig but the new one's looking like part of the pavement! Don't reckon I could drive too far around here that deep! Respect.

This looks rude. As mentioned above props on driving hard everywhere I smashed a sump once and fully bottled the low life.

Yea, sump smashing aint great fun. i must have done 6+ on my bora back in the day, and twice in the black benz. Sump guard or raised engine usually seem to sort the problems tho!

Fair play man for persisting. They both looked/look ace. Three spokes for the win on that coupe though.

The three spokes looked dope on the sedan, but not really feeling them on the coupe. The pegasuses (pegi?) would look awesome though. The 5 spoke amg's made for a great OEM look as well.
