Wow, now that's pretty uncompromising when it comes to wedge designs.

Now that is a wedge! So cool though. Love the little bumps for the front wheels.
Once again Retro Rides brings the goods on a car I never knew existed!

I had a Corgi (I think!) of that and had forgotten all about it!
Thanks for taking me back to my childhood.

SHARPAccording to Wiki it is probably the same chassis as was under this concept, the P33 Sport Roadster from a couple of years earlier. Also worth remembering that there is a serious mid engined racing car under there.

If you can believe Wikipedia it seems that there were at least 2 more concept cars based on that chassis type The 1969 Alfa Romeo Iguana by Italdesign More pictures hereAnd the 1969 Alfa Romeo 33 Coupe Prototipo Speciale by Pininfarina Again more pictures here

Some french dude on the lotus forums had photoshoped this and was talking about a possible build. My favourite wedge of all time is the alfa carabo above, a close second would be the bertone lancia stratos but on sheer legendary status and arguably the definitive 70s wedge imho is the S1 lotus esprit. Bertone Lancia Stratos, wow! A legendary scene.

It kind of makes me think of the cars from the original Deathrace2000 movie with David Carradine

I'd rather loose by a mile cause I built my own car than win by an inch because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let anyone else write the book.
