Mitsubishi 3000GT, or ST205 Celica GT Four? Which one would you have and why?
I'm looking at getting rid of everything and having one nice car, the T5 is all well and good but it's wrong wheel drive! I've looked into both before I had the Volvo, and both definitely have their pros and cons.
The Celica tends to be a little less in the price department, however the Mitsu is better equipped out the box, more power, still just as tunable as the GT Four, but I believe is a bigger car so perhaps not as handy through the bends?
Both would have to be UK spec as insurance is a bit nicer for me, however the Celica is cheaper regardless.
What are your thoughts?
Ben.

For me the Celica wins hands down, more of a b road blaster whereas the 3000gt/GTO is more of a grand tourer.
For inspiration check out blown_imp s build

Stock reply: Drive both and see which one you prefer.
I've driven them and the Celica is what I'd go for. The GTO felt very big, and TBH not particularly in gauging, difficult to explain really. Great motorway cruiser though and the one I'd use if I was driving down to Spain. The Celica on the other hand felt like I was driving in a special stage. Great fun.

Hmm certainly interesting views! They're certainly two different cars in respect of what they do best, I don't do an awful lot of driving as it is, and it's mainly dual carriageways on my commute.
Whichever way I try to word things, it still feels like I'm leaning towards the Mitsu, perhaps it's an itch I should scratch first and see how it goes!

Just to throw another into the mix that I've just thought of, has anyone had experience with a 300ZX? I have a budget of around £4k, I thought they'd be too much but just found one for a tempting price!

Celica, first gen GT4 though, not the later bulbous one (based on looks)

No idea about issues with any of them, just prefer the looks of the 1st gen GT4.
