Fantastic That is an awesome restoration, I would love to have the time, money, space, tools and skills to be able to do something like that. Incredible, great find there Lewis

1) That must be one valuable car to go to that much trouble!!
2) Anyone remember that resto ace American who was into bashing tinfoil into place and wadding everything up! Someone should send him that link.

it's one of 20 original Group B Celica Rally cars. 180 other streetversions where made for homologation. God knows how many of those are trashed in those 20 years.
So yeah, it's kinda rare ;D

Perfect. Brings a lump doesn't it. I know a man that used to work for TTE rallyteam in the 80's, would love to be able to find out if that was one of the cars he worked on. Safari rally winners in that year (84) too if I'm not mistaken

Incredible, work, car... Uhh The thing that always amazes me is just how clean the workspace is, no matter what the activity. That's what I really envy, honest... Really

I think that generation of Celica is overlooked for no good reason, it has flip up lights, RWD and lovely engines. Mainly due to the weird back end I think.
The restoration is quite something!

I love that shape Celica.... gotta go hunting for more history on that car, by the looks of it it's been underwater or something!? Appears to be coated in sludge or silt inside, lots of rust where you wouldn't expect rust and even the dials look fusty....
