The Met Office promised a total washout, but apparently all the rain went to Glasto instead. I was at Goodwood all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and aside from a shower at 10am on Saturday and some moist greyness early on Friday it was pretty glorious throughout.
Particularly glorious for me was getting a ride up the hill in the new Morgan Plus 8 Speedster on Sunday, in a pack of supercars (LaFerrari, Huayra, i8, Wraith, One:1, countless others) with the likes of Derek Bell, Jann Mardenborough and Henry Catchpole milling about. Bit starstruck, to be honest. Had to sign on in the drivers club too, rubbing shoulders with Sir Stirling Moss and Kimi Raikkonen. It was like being a proper journalist. Lucky boy.
