Very nice, the earlier models always had a nicer interior than the later facelift ones. Currently on my fourth one which I'm hoping to sell soon, but enjoyed every one of them

I run a tidy facelift 2.5 V6 Elite estate as a daily with 80k. The boot is huge and its fabulously comfy. Gradually sorting out its various niggles but i'll probably sell later in the year when i've finished doing up our house.
Yours looks like a really nice one. Enjoy.

The early ones are so much better looking than the later ones.
Always quite fancied a diesel estate one, maybe one day.

It works for me. I broke a 3.0 estate for the engine and box, but a quick drive to test it almost has me regretting not rolling it. An impressive lump of a car for the money.

I had a 3 litre elite saloon auto. Actually sold it on here a few years ago. One of the best cars I ever had. Remember taking it to alton towers 4 up and averaging 43mpg there and back in complete comfort. Fantastic cars

yep but it was like 500 motorway miles. They're really aerodynamic remember. Used to get around 18mpg round town

I like that, and I've never seen those wheels before.
I've got a facelift ex-plod, so I am biased...

Cheers, only thing i'm short of at the moment is a pair off inner rear boot lamp covers and a mini facelift wood ashtray cover. also tried a 8.5 x 18 alloy in silver then black.can't decide which i prefer silver is obviously classic look but black compliments the other black trim bits and new grille. John.

I think the black apes a lot of cars you see nowadays and doesn't really suit the character of the car. The silver wheels will look a bit more sporty than standard but still classy and almost an option vauxhall could have had from new.
That's a gorgeous car BTW, very jealous. The kind of car you could drive a thousand miles and still feel fresh afterwards.
How does it handle BTW?

if you mean with the 18's don't know yet as i just fitted the 1 to check tyre clearance but will be getting rid of the OE self levelling rear shocks(lh is leaking anyway) and fitting front and rear 3.2 MV6 complete shocks/springs to tighten things up a bit.

A few years ago I bought a 2.5 Omega to drift was a truly great car one of the best I've owned. Excelled as both a comfy barge and a good skid car (well once the diff was welded and the springs chopped). Would happily own another one in a heartbeat. Super underrated cars IMO.
The new black wheels suit it, much better than the 15's. I like!

Great barge , like the new plain grill, i do think the 18's look better in silver, as mentioned it suits the period of the car better, black/anthracite wheels are a modern trend. Normally not a fan of modernish Vauxhalls but i'd definitely roll in one of these, last one i seen a guy in the place i work had a nice silver 02 plate (wasn't a 3.0 though), he's changed it now for a Citroen C1, such is the trend for economy nowadays i recon these big beasts will become quite rare.
