kinda self explanatory, what little mods have you done that have made a big difference? one of mine, the arm rests in sierras are solid plastic and curse word on a long trip so a bit of foam, some old seat material and some glue later...  and fitted back  so whatcha got? |

Removed all the saw dust and curse word from the work van, at least 100kg lighter now! Much nicer place to be...

Work vans only.
I fitted an 800W inverter to a Ford Connect. Could run an angle grinder, small drill... Or a George Foreman Grill.
The Merc Vito and Vx Movano Had a Welding generator that I knocked up a Round blue 240v plug thing- three pin socket (to run a kettle, etc) and a hammock, but both could not be used at the same time as it would be a bit carbon monoxide-ey!

I converted from points and condenser to electronic ignition it's like having a new car :-D

Replaced the horrid plastic round thing in the Micra with a proper 100NX steering wheel. So much nicer to drive. One thing you touch all the time in the car.  |

pull the dash off and run from headunit popping out of the ashtray next to gear lever - good quality tunes on anytime, priceless

On the Audi I tinted the front fog lights and smothed off the lock on the boot (as it was broke and cheaper than replacing it) very easy to do and smartened it up soo much

The full length parcel/oddments shelf at the front of my Toledo was cr@p for keeping stuff on as corners usually got the better of anything that was on there at the time...
One trip to Wilko's later and a handy (and perfectly sized) plastic/wicker-y box was purchased to fit CD's and other tat in and keep them from falling all over the place at every given cornering opportunity...!!!
Drilling a couple of extra drain holes in the bottoms of ones doors can also be a very good little mod' to keep the dreaded rain water out...
It's the little things...

I put a ratchet strap around the front doors of my car to fix the two bent door window frames from when it got broken into now I have no more rain coming in on me or whistling noise when driving and for the first time in a year we can now roll down both front windows

After doing a bit more research into SU damper oil, I changed the 3 in 1 oil in mine which I'd seen recommended somewhere for some 20w50 engine oil, just by doing this I've cured the hesitation on acceleration which has been bugging me for the past year almost! no more having to wait for the car to warm up a bit before it'll go properly, makes driving such a more pleasant task  |

i'm planning on doing mine at the moment.
where I now have a 5 speed and the gearstick comes up several inches further back, the centre console doesn't really fit properly and the front seats won't lift up very far to let passengers in the back either
so I got some mdf and i'm going to try to make my own centre console with space for cd storage, a clock and the stereo
wish me luck!
