Love it! These are on my list of little cars to own.
I'm exploring the theory that Corsa Coilovers will fit.

Yes, a remarkable progress can be seen. Really got better. Sarcasm? Tbf, it looks like a lot of work to produce something that looks relatively standard. I guess I don't 'get it' on this one, cos it just looks like any other modern with wheels and a drop to me

Love this. Amazing how smooth the front end looks, flicked between the two photos several times to compare before and after.
I do like the previous wheels too though.

Actually even the first version is a big step away from the OAPmobile these usually are, without really having done any mental mods.
I can dig it as a worthy little tool, except for the asthmatic powerplant. I respect the owner for tackling a left-field motor and keeping away from the usual scene fodder.

No, I really kind of like it - except those stretched tires, but without them it might not look that good?!. Oooops, my bad. I've been having a rather sarcastic week. Lol

I liked it in its original 'achievable on a tiny budget' guise and I also like it in the latest 'finished' look. To all those people that hate on 'scene' cars, rat look or chequebook builds...here's something that's none of them.

I like the black bumpers version. Black bumpers have been hated upon for years, but they are really quite kool. Whats wrong with stretched tires anyway? I see it as one of those things that look great on any car of any style.

I read matiz in the title and prepared my 'cringe' face ready for seeing it (I really don't like them)
but...
As much as I hate to say it (and ask anyone I know what I think of the matiz and you'll understand why) that looks remarkably better than I was expecting. would be interesting to see those wheels (which I love) and black bumper combined but definite kudos to the owner for avoiding the norm and doing what most of us would never dream of - modifying a matiz

Still not sure I'd want one, but credit where credit's due, he's done a fine job of that. It really works. It's not stupidly low and it's understated too. As for the comment above about the standard power plant being asthmatic, have you actually been in/ driven one? Brother in law has one as his Bristol city hack (he saves the Saab for the weekends ) and it's a proper little flyer. 4's up across the city centre and the old girl still pulled like a train!

I'd happily roll this as a daily, working on them though with hands my size is another matter and changing front discs is a pita. Very cool with the monoblocks

Looks awesome! Think I also prefer the textured bumper look on it though, breaks up the body a bit more. Not sure what people have against the original Matiz tbh, its an Italdesign design, originally meant to be a Fiat Panda replacement. Fiat werent keen so when it got bought by Daewoo they stretched it to add an extra set of doors in the back. Thats why it looks overly long between the wheels. But actually head on I think they're a nicely balanced design, styling-wise. I was looking at one we have at work the other day and they're remarkable packaging-wise too. They are microscopic yet you can fit four people in it with ample legroom, five if you want to be close, but its not the usual 2+2, two adults in the front and two kids in the back like in the Ford Ka of the era, or many other rivals. The engine is right down low at the front and takes up no space at all. It really is a mid-size car cabin with a tiny engine strapped to the front. Having looked at how its all engineered I have a new respect for them!
