Any body now where the chip would be ? Look by the fuel injection pump there might be a black box there on the wiring to it. If there isnt you can make it even quicker by doing the every mod that costs about 26P

Your airbag light will more than likely comeback on. Its normally the plug under the front seat. They're notorious for having poor connection Quick pic of my A4 Daily:

Its just to the right of the pump, and down below slightly, its a big block connector with 10-12 wires going into it, pretty big.
Ill find the link in a min, but I did the every mod on my Golf GT TDI, and it makes SOOOO much difference, ive done mine on a switch and a potentiometer, so its adjustable and also can be switched off. Got all the bits from maplins for less than a fiver and it took about a hour to do, worse part was running the switch into the car. But like others have said, it can be done even simpler and for pence.
If you love how it goes now, youll love it even more after!!

Yeah if you choose to use just 1 resistor use a 600OHMS one.

Ive never gone down that low.... lowest I got was around 700!!! Even then, 1st 2nd and 3rd would produce scary amounts of wheelspin in damp conditions!
Bet thats a bit lairy!

I've had my girlfriends down to 500 OHMS! It all depends on the injection pump setup, timing is so critical through VAG COM. The simplest way is to buy a resistor and have it on a switch. On for fast, off for normal.

I questioned this with mine dude, you have to curse word about with changing pumps and having it enabled in the VAGCOM etc. so it's easier to buy a cheap retrofit kit from somewhere like www.rclick.co.uk which is what I'm doing.
