I have an after market stainless stell back box that came on the car when i bought it. The fit isn't great, to stop it knocing and be secure on the rubber hangers the back box can't be leve. And since this is a DTm twin upswept type back box it looks really noticable every tile I look at the rear of the car. I intended to take off the back box and bend re shape the hangers / sticky out bits that hook onto the rubber mounts so it fits better.
What I am weary of is ripping the welds or damaging the back box itself in the process. I am guessing some applied heat would help with the bending. Any one else got any advice in regards to technique?
Thanks
