Happening as we speak... Nightmares Racing just posted this on Facebook: I needed to see more...clearly it's an Aussie car which reminded me that The Summernats was happening right now. I went looking for pics... There's not too much out there yet (including pics of the Cortina) but what you can find makes the anticipation of the participants/partygoers returning home and starting to post pics hard to bear. In the meantime, here's what I've found: www.shockmansion.com/2013/01/03/summernats-26-16-year-old-jake-myers-x-shock-mansion/These shots are from The Shannon's Citycruise which must be either part of, or linked to The Summernats: That numberplate suggests rotary power. More here: www.flickr.com/photos/d-eye/sets/72157632423526022/with/8341114861/Hopefully we can add more as we find 'em!

Sahweet! I'm not a fan of aussie taste in wheels but shiny V8s in everything makes up for it ;D LOVE the bedford flatbed!

That's just beautiful. I'm also not normally a fan of the taste in wheels but that's spot-on in every way.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Contrary to popular opinion, I do have mechanical sympathy, I always feel sorry for the cars I drive.

I love the Aussie way of shoehorning monster v8s into everything... Oh, then supercharging it. Then supercharging it again, just for curse word and giggles.

-everyone- should visit this show at least once. it's more incredible than it's possible to imagine. I grinned for months saying that, my mind boggles at how crazy it must be now - I last went in 2002 and there were a -number- of 1000+HP cars there. street legal cars. 1000HP. I'm guessing 1000HP is now passé I'm not sure where all my photos are, I took about ten rolls of film, I'll try and find and scan them
