So time for a proper write up.
Earlier this year I got talking to a skattrd about driving around Cadwell park. Out came the rose tinted spectacles and I mentioned that of everything I've driven there (including a 350bhp supra) the most fun I had was with my cappo.
I started looking at eBay and other sites seeing what was on offer, when one night a cappo appeared fairly locally at a good price. The pics might as well have been non existant, as they were all taken in the dark and were of randome bits of a panel. Nothing of the full car.
So it was a gamble but I did a deal over the phone and collected it the next day.
It's been my daily car since march and has been great fun.
I started collecting parts to transform it a little.
So far,
Apexi boost gauge
Momo steering wheel as it gives me a bit more legroom
Nice 'razo' gear knob from the u.s.
RSR lowering springs which still need fitting
Integra type r wheels which need painting and some 185/45 tyres
Cheap and nasty induction kit until I find a reasonably priced hks or apexi
I got soldave on club cappo to import this J-works, autojewell N1 exhaust from japan for me
And from a chap in france I bought my F100 kit
I also bought a new engine with half the mileage of mine. Other than a cracked cam cover, there's nothing wrong with my engine but with less miles it should hold up to big boost better and I can rebuild the old one up to 700cc
I'm aiming for 120bhp on the standard engine which may not sound alot but it will absolutely fly with that power. It's quick enough now with just 60. Incase you didn't already know these are a 657cc 3 cylinder and rev to 10k. Soooo much fun on country roads!
Anyway..... Brown love?
I've got a thing for beige and brown cars. Brown was never in fashion so surely it can't go out of fashion.
These are the pics from this afternoon straight from the paint booth
The black roof is Audi phantom black and the brown is a new colour for the 2012 skoda yeti. It's got a nice bit of gold in it but doesn't come out too well in the pics.
I doubt you'll see another brown cappo for a while anyway.
Honest opinions please guys and also opinions on what colour I should paint the wheels. I'm thinking white or gunmetal grey.
Thanks
Ross
