After 2 years and 40.000km it's time that our ways split.
I lost the love for it, even though it does everything I ask from it.
It's a cool car, but our relationship is over
It's an Avante, which means its the topmodel (except for the TwinTurbo) with all the little gadgets (automatic headlights, temperature controlled aircon, electric windows, mirrors and comfy seats, and off course the air purifier!).
The engine is a 2 liter 24V straight six with 3speed autobox with overdrive and has done 240.000km (150.000 miles) and runs very nice!
Car doesn't look very nice, because of some shonkey welding done in the past (but structural sound), but technically is in very good nick, no oil leaks, everything works as it should (except for the aircon, which is empty, never bothered refilling it as you've got 4 windows to open! ).
The biggest problem it has, is the area above the windscreen, it's rotten and not fixed, because I haven't found a screen yet.
I've emptied a can of window sealent in it, so its watertight again.
I build a coilover set for this car (mainly Rallydesign stuff, 6kg/mm springs and short stroke koni yellow shocks) with TechnoToyTuning camberplates. Rear is Bilstein shocks and springs. The ride is excellent, did 900km in it last year in one go, only 1 stop for fuel and a pee!
The car comes with 2 new rear tires, as they where an advisory at the last dutch MoT, fronts are still very good.
Can do the car as it is now for €1000 or for €500 on the stock wheels and normal front suspension. Even more wafty, but not as low .
It also comes with a welded diff.
For €1000 extra I can include everything I got for it for a twinturbo manual swap.
Engine, gearbox, pedals, loom, Supra propshaft, Supra LSD diff with correct ratio etc. etc. etc.
And as I like roadtrips, I can even think about delivering it to the UK.
I'm not sure how easy it is to get it back on UK reg? I bought it in the UK a couple years back, and still have some of the UK paperwork of the car (no V5 though, as I had to hand that in at the dutch DVLA).
Some pics:
In short it's a nice daily cruiser which can do some drifting too!
