In 1999 I joined Revs Magazine at the end of a series of features called Dogs Tour'd, where four staff members had a grand to buy and modify a car. Dan Williamson bought an XJS V12 for £750, managed to get it around Bruntingthorpe, dynod and other stuff before we drove to Knockhill from Peterborough for the last part of the challenge. We felt like kings gunning it away from Sheffield listening to T Rex on cassette. I took it (or it took me) round a wet track and then we proceeded to play bangers with a Sierra XR4 and an S12 Silvia on the hairpin... When I googled to see if there were any images online, I found this... Which is what it looked like in my head ;D The next series of features was called World F'Cup... I totally had that Mag.......I was 12 in 1999. XJS' are cool stock, but I haven't really seen a modified one yet that really does it for me. I think the wheel choice is always a bit wrong. I like Robins idea. Stock Body (preferably an early one with the nicer bumpers) slammed and some big dishy wheels. Its all they need.

Would be better in black though and a bit more dish ;D Anyway have a few more XJSs Need more lows to be close......

Sierra - here we go again! He has an illness, it's not his fault.

Big apologies for digging up this topic (been musing over another V12), but there are images online...

If I ever had one, the engine would go between the axles, towards the back, there'd be a bit of chrome peeking out of the new rear deck I'd have to have installed and there'd only be enough room in the front for a weekend suitcase and a bottle of wine because really, that's all you need when you have an XJS.
