Not really a Retro car but soon will be. This is my "daily driver" a 1996 Ford Fairlane Sportsman Ghia. These things are as cheap as chips over here, i bought this one with a 5.0 ltr v8, sunroof electric everything for $2000 (1200 pound) it does the long trips in luxury. Plans: stupid late model moon mobile ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Uploaded with ImageShack.us

the shot above was a week after i bought it, I repainted the front bumper and hacked three inches out of the springs. had to fix a couple of little bits n bobs (pwr windows)but shes a dream to drive..... i got bored and dragged a set of whites out of the shed to give it a longer lower look, was a joke to start with but everyone keeps giving me the "thumbs up' so i'm going to stick with the look. just taken this shot out the front of work. next job is to fix the bloody bumper where the trailer came off. oh and ive ordered some MQQN caps for her and also fitted a chrome push bar. Going to do her as a "push car" ala salt lake racing ;D exhaust is next (she needs more note) and a "GILMER" belt drive to get a nice whistle under the bonnet. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Looking good! I really fancy an E series Falcon if I ever manage to realise the dream and move across to Oz.

It's worth it though to have a bit of power

Nice machine! They certainly are a classy barge! I had a 4 litre ute, I think the v8 is the more reliable of the 2 engines to have.
