I collected my new project mid last week. Alfa Romeo 916 GTV 2.0 16v with Zender cup bodykit and 17" Speedline Teledials. Plans are to dial in a some stance, and make the interior more of a contrast to the body color. Finally got around to starting playing with the GTV. Just had the seats out and gave the grey carpet a bloody good clean and a clean and condition for the leathers and general dust and clean around the whole interior. Carpet was filthy, not going to lie it did look as if it had a lot of semen dried into the carpet.. then again it was built in italy so it was probably put together with the stuff. But better and fresher smelling now. Got some speedline (of italy) Mistral splits 3pc 17x8 17x10 laying about.. be rude to to trial fit them. In all honesty I think 17's are a bit small ? I need to really experiment when its dropped but there is really not much room in the arches to tuck anything away, but the body style doesn't really suit dish. Some custom fab needed I think. few bits added to the to do list today. -Replace perished rubber exhaust hangar. -Replace front window seals to solve excessive wind noise (and probable leakiness) -Replace fuel gauge illumination bulb -try and figure out why plugging the sat nav into the cigarette lighter cause the fuse to blow. -Clean engine bay, repolish rocker cover.

Nice! I think the wheels will look great if it's lowered a little.

Very very nice looking car! I would love one but I've yet to be brave enough. Those wheels will look fapping ace if you can get it low, and a quick google shows that FK do coillies................... ;D

I do like the wheels but can't help thinking of Zender Milano's and Autostrada Monza's which would be much better suited. Then there are all these nice staggered mono blocks that come on the latest range of BMW Mseries A mojo boosting photochop to help me along.

Picked myself up a set of second hand Koni Adjustable s for the rear. Still on standard springs so not a lot of point but hopefully they'll have a bit more control anyways. Also definitely tracked down the clunking at the rear, the lower control arm bush is definitely shot.. how this wasn't flagged or failed on the recent MOT is questionable  Which bush is that ie powerflex part number, may aswell replace both sides, any special tools needed to push bushes out or is it just a patience and brute force job ? few little suprises along the way. Looks like a few bushes have been replaced with powerflex counterparts already, the rear is definitely very slack compared to the front which it seems has after market springs fitted. Old shocks off This was annoying... New shocks on  Plan is to get shorter stiffer rear springs made up giving hopefully 60-80mm at the rear and then get a custom GAZshocks adjustable coil-over setup on the front to really sink the nose. Adpaters for the speedline's have been inquired about, not quite as simple as 5x100 to 4x100 but a super long wobble bolt and the adpaters should work.

I do love the gtv and yours looks very nice one day I will get one . Why thank you. I have to say I am in noway disspointed, definitely a car that gets under your skin and it gives me stance in my pants when I drive it. Oh My God! That is the most awesome p chop of the year so far. Please please please make it happen I really want to see it properly stanced too, just got to consider the options and find the optimum way of lowering as the off the shelf kits are limited and will never be low enough for me. I'll do my best to fulfill that photoshoppic vision

Those are pretty quick and i think they look mad. That would is such a nice shade of blue and the wheels are gorgeous. I used to drive my dad's one more than he did when he had it, never wanted to give it back to him. It was dark grey with the red leather interior. the sound of the V6 ones is amazing. 2 litre's not bad either. At the same time he had that i had a 156 2.0 in black but it was curse word in comparison to the gtv

Lovely car, the stretch on the tyres doesn't suit it though.

I've had 2 of these one TS and one V6. Great cars.
The photoshop looks spot on, it has to be made a reality!
(You'll get good money on those teledials if you sell)

Bloody love these Alfas and similar ones of this era, my dad's got a 1.8 156 TS, good engine. I like the car and I reckon it'll look awesome done but if I'm honest I'm not a big fan of the yellow lights

Alfas are such an obvious choice for stancing that seem to be continually over looked... I'd love to see this one done, will keep checking back as you obviously know how to get a car sitting right ;D I picked up a Sportwagon last year and love it, if you want to sell the 17s let me know as they're an obvious upgrade for my similar 16s. I'll be in Taunton this weekend as I grew up there, I'll keep 'em peeled for a stanced Alfa

it does look good Thank you mate, when the opportunity arises get yourself a GTV you wont be disappointed most of the early barely reach a sub 1K price tag now so now is better than ever The FK high-sports aren't great for the money, only good thing they have going for them is steel shock bodies which means the hub mount it easyier cut off and re welded higher for more lows. The FK Koni/Gsport coil-overs are an option as that way I could adjust the dampening etc to gain some kind or ride comfort, however the rear setup is still a fixed height kit because of the seperate strut and spring setup so for similar money I could get shorter rear springs made up and run the Koni rear shocks on the harder setting and then get a custom GAZshocks adjustable coil-over unit made up for the front nice and short with a reduced stroke length.. also considering the possibilty of air-suspenion just at the front ? 30mm lower on maximum pump and then with the bags empty have the lip on the flooe.. would save the embarrassment of smashing that rare zender lip off Those are pretty quick and I think they look mad. That would is such a nice shade of blue and the wheels are gorgeous. I used to drive my dad's one more than he did when he had it, never wanted to give it back to him. It was dark grey with the red leather interior. the sound of the V6 ones is amazing. 2 litre's not bad either. At the same time he had that I had a 156 2.0 in black but it was curse word in comparison to the gtv Definitely quick enough, nice smooth power delivery on the exit of a corner without ripping it from the chosen line. Could maybe do with slightly shorter ratios on gear 1,2,3 for my driving style though Unusual to see the GTV in a metallic blue isn't it ? Dark grey metallic and red leather is my favorite color combo for the GTV sadly most of them seem to be well out of my pricerange. They are ace cars to drive great clutch feel and the gearbox feels really nice short steering rack only thing I don't like is the driving position it feels like I'm sat on the car rather than in it lol. The V6 has to the best lemonade money..champagne sounding engine out there ? The 2.0TS' have a nice old school sound to them. The 156 is a nicer production car but as a drivers car the GTV is miles better for sure Lovely car, the stretch on the tyres doesn't suit it though. There is a LOT of stretch on those tires at the moment. probably a lot more than it'll need. I'll play with tire sizes once it all comes together. I'm still a bit worried that 17's will be a bit small. I've had 2 of these one TS and one V6. Great cars. The photoshop looks spot on, it has to be made a reality! (You'll get good money on those teledials if you sell) Which did you prefer between TS and V6. I can imagine the V6 is a very different animal! I've seen some of the prices 17" tele's have been selling for on the Alfaowners.. I guess decent 5x98 wheels are fairly thin on the ground and they are lovely. Wow, that photoshop looks awesome, will keep an eye on this Thank-you mate. Bloody love these Alfas and similar ones of this era, my dad's got a 1.8 156 TS, good engine. I like the car and I reckon it'll look awesome done but if I'm honest I'm not a big fan of the yellow lights Nice and sedate around town but becomes enthusiastic about roads at the same time as the driver does. The yellow lights probably won't be staying for too long. Just making use of some Lamin-x off cuts lying around, will get some yellow bulb hoods in there soon. I'll be in Taunton this weekend as I grew up there, I'll keep 'em peeled for a stanced Alfa Exactly! they really are perfect for it, so beautifully designed, I'm sure I could have got a similar age and mileage 2.0 Golf for about the same money but how un-interesting and easy is that by comparison? That big diagonal swage line is going to be uber emphasised once the nose is dropped and we have a bit of frontal rake going on. I've got a reasonably good idea how to get a car sitting nice or at least sitting in a manner I like. I'll drop you a PM when it comes to shifting on the 17" Tele's mate as they would be a great improvement to the Sportwagon
