I need an item 3D printing but don't have a very good original image.
I'm building a Lambretta cutdown and calling it Toecutter.
I'm trying to do a replica of Toecutters helmet from the Mad Max film but reference pics are next to zero.
On the front of his helmet is a plastic Hindu goddess Kali figure glued to it.

What do you do if you find it needs welding while you're doing the treatment? I only ask as I want my underside doing at some point on my Vectra, but needs inner sill work as well. I have a welder on site, my brother in law who specialises in restoring ww2/vintage trucks etc

Sprinter van out today after a Raptor Coating. I'm tempted to give my bumpers and door pastic panels such a treatment. How do You treat unpainted pastic parts before coating them? A good sanding with 180 pads on the DA, blow off, degrease with panel wipe, plastic etch prime then Raptor (other brands are available)

that's come out really well! Good to see the merc's getting some love too. Did the citroen need to go on the ramp or just raise the suspension! Do you find seasonal fluctuations in business, like are people undersealing now ready for winter, or is it steady?[/quote] Think that's the 4th Sprinter I've done now, the colour really made this one. Raised it first then as usual jacked it up on to my vintage bus axle stands, the citroen was in great condition, most of it was steam cleaned then I applied a clear Dinitrol protective wax. So far seems to be steady through the year, I'm now booked up till February 2023 so no chance of getting anybody in now, having a few calls recently trying to get it before the bad weather

So here it is, as mentioned above, another frame I have had for many years, its another started project but this is getting done with a deadline of Bridlington custom show at the end of October. It's a bare bones cutdown, what you see is what you get. The frame and hubs will be painted silver metalflake with a green candy over it. This is a nod back to how it was built in the late 80s as it was always known as the 'green un', it was painted in Ford Le Man's green and the photos I saw if this bike really left an impression on me.

Are there more posts of Your collection to come? Otherwise this would have been better in that yard/boot/fleemarket/or/whatelse/sale thread. Yes there will be more, I have small collection I've started of very 70's custom vehicles, vans mainly. And I intent to document the above restoration and turn it into a diarama 👍

Our recent family holiday to Anglesey rekindled my toy car buying. We were at a carboot sale and one of the sellers was just selling old cars/toys etc. This pair stood out to me, they weren't together but close by. I'm going to restore the Impala and paint the caravan to match, there not rare so not too bothered. Also found this Frankenstein lego mini figure And picked these two up from the same stall.

I've just had some small parts engraved for my Lambretta project, can imagine the coat of those wheels, love it.
I take it it's a Japan build?

Cheers for the interest chaps.
Just got back from a last minute holiday booking to Anglesey so last week and the 2 weeks previous (getting work out the door) were lost.
Hopefully get back on it this week 👍

Another one of my Lambretta frames has now snook to the front of the list. I've had this since the late 90s and always had the same vision for it. The full frame lambretta is stagnant as I'm unsure where to go with it.

Less of this greebo stuff, back on track 😂
On radio Sheffield the other day they had the new Sheffield mayor on, thoroughly nice chap. The question of how to raise the profile of South Yorkshire/North Derbyshire came up and the presenter said something that summed it up for me.
When we're in our own villages and towns etc we slag them off, its not until we're in somewhere like Lancashire then we praise what we have, no matter how bad!!
