Right, i still havent been able to buy any mre parts, but i have had a closer look around at the scuttle, around the a panels etc... I thought the scuttle was sound, but its full or mesh and filler As you can see, its not looking good, but I'm not giving up on it. The hinge panel is ready to weld in..... Anyway, ive decided i want to keep the 850, and whilst its out i was wondering what i can do to it to get it revving up a bit higher? ive heard these are already pretty revvy compared to 998's, but what can be done to improve on this further? I'm not too bothered about loads of power, and i want to keep it an 850. I just want to get it revving more to make it a bit more fun to drive, and a bit more lively etc... Thanks in advance

Looking great - i might be wrong, but that 90 degree bend pipe for the throttle cable seems to be in the wrong way round? the adjuster is normally on top of the carb.

Awesome, i love these because they sorta go back to the old puch and other moped's styling. Dunno if you want to spent any money on it, but these guys have loads of options for tuning; www.ooracing.com/

Does anyone know if ed actually does the work? In the end credits I'm pretty sure theres a mechanic in there, and i just noticed the other day that he called a set of feeler gauges 'vernier gauges'.

Hi everone, and merry christmas!! So santa has brought me a rear valance, boot floor rear section, hinge panel and rear lower corners for the rear panel - All three of the flanges from the valance, bot and hing panel join, this is where the rear bumoer goes (if you have a mini you'll know what i mean) So the quiestion is, which panel first? I was thinking of doing the boot floor first, but i don't know how easy it will be to get to with the hingle panel and lower rear panel still in place. I'm sure there must be a couple of people on here who have done this before ;D So any suggestions?

Whats the difference between the deluxe group 2's and the normal ones? I prefer arches where the front ones go right down behind the front bumper, are the group 2's like this?
Cheers

So, definately banded steels. As for arches, i think the j - ones on here would be too big wouldnt they? Could anyone tell me which arches are on the white one?
i quite like the idea of flake paint, maybe on the rims? But i don't want to just make one like the white one but in a different colour :/
I had an idea for the grille - i think the bit i don't like on most mini's is the fact the grille adds so much to the front, so i was thinking of just having the mk1 grille surround trim with black mesh as the actual grille? I think this balance of chrome and black would look good, especially if i had black steels with chrome centrecaps, and black arches with chrome trim.

Cant wait to see this finshed - and hear it for that matter ;D
just a thought, the supercharger kits for mini's have the carb in the bottom corner of the bonnet, the a long manifold to the blower - maybe this could mean you could keep the bonnet standard/ fully closing?
