Don't forget to blow out that spark plug hole! Don't worry, it got a thorough clean! Bike is all back together now, I need to get some photos and videos up (been doing some filming on my GoPro). It goes ridiculously well with the rebuilt engine. Top speed is still the same but it'll wheelie in third gear now, rather than only just managing it in second like it used to.

No luck with any of these so far!
It's annoying as i've still got loads of kits left, just none of the ones requested above!
I did Find Momo kits for Mk1 Golf and Mk1 and Mk2 fiesta. I've got loads of Fiat stuff in Momo fitment. As for Mountney Kits, there's a huge variety left.

I don't have any pics of the 1400 I built but I'll be getting plenty of the 1600.
Anything in particular you need to know?

I managed to get a really good result with one of the tools pictured above. Again, slow speed and keep it moving. I used 10w40 oil.
The honing marks can occasionally feel a little rough, but after honing I just gave mine a single-pass with some 1500 grit (literally just wiped down inside the bores with it) and it seemed to de-burr the honing and left a perfect finish.
I'm not sure if this is an approved method but the logic makes sense to me and it worked great.

The basic premise is that air wants to (by nature) maintain equal pressure. Accordingly, air will flow from an area of high or neutral pressure to an area of low pressure. The scuttle is an area of high to neutral pressure. Under the bonnet is an area of low pressure. If you make holes in the scuttle or raise the trailing edge of the bonnet then air will want to flow IN rather than out. This neutralises the pressure under the bonnet, stalling the airflow through the radiator(s) and therefore making them drastically less efficient. *n Would that not suggest that the vents would indeed lower the under-bonnet temperatures, at least when stationary, as cool air (from outside) would be introduced to the engine bay? The radiator(s) in this sits at the the very front of the engine bay, directly behind the grill, so surely the airflow over it wouldn't be greatly affected? Not looking for an argument, i'm just curious. Fungus

I thought this could be an interesting thread, as i'm sure there are strong and valid arguments for and against the idea. Say, for example, a 200k miles car has had a full nut and bolt restoration with absolutely no element of the original car left untouched- do you think it's acceptable to set the mileage to zero? If not, surely the mileage would not actually reflect on the mechanical condition of the car in any way? Except maybe the affect of stresses put through the shell over the years/miles. I personally don't have a problem with this, as the car will effectively be brand new, with no wear and tear on any parts. At the other end of the scale is the idea of taking a car, resetting it's mileage and doing nothing else; obviously the idea of increasing a cars value by falsifying it's mileage illegal, dishonest and a generally awful thing to do (assuming the operation was performed with the intention of selling the car). So, in your opinion, at what point is it acceptable to reset a car's mileage? It's been done plenty of times on 'restorations', but I believe that for a car to truly be 'zero miles' every wear-prone part would need to be new (bearings and seals inside the gearbox, full engine rebuild, all new suspension perishables etc). So what's your view on the matter? Threads need pictures, so here's a 4.3-miles IROC-z and the highest mileage car in the world- 3,040,000-miles(ish) Volvo P1800

I'm still after one or maybe two, thanks for coming back to me The 83-on Monza boss says it also fits Senator, and a Vauxhall Carlton and Astra. 'All models with adjustable column'. Also have a kit for an Opel Commodore. I have more than one of each kit

As above, i'm after a 924 Speedometer.
Must be working but i'm not fussed about the condition of the glass if the price is right.
Thanks

I'm away for a couple of weeks but will check any request as soon as i get back. bstardchild- Cheers for the info, when i'm back i'll check the fitment list and get back to you. Please as I have a 79 Monza column that has no boss and an 72 Opel Commodore column that might need a boss if I can't use the adjustable Monza column that I already have a boss for..... That might not make a whole heap of sense but it did to me I'm back now and can have a look. Are you still after one?
