The mondeo seats just needed a live and earth to operate, but needed 2" sectioning out of the mounting boxes, and took the easy option by welding the ford runners to the vw mounting boxes. The Sedona seats just needed four holes drilling for them to drop onto the vw mounts, but the drivers side is very tight against the handbrake Ttfn Glenn

Only small amounts of progress on this, an ongoing struggle with depression means, some days you can get on with stuff, most you can't, so apart from driving it about, which does cheer me up, especially since running on veg means its really cheap to drive. Have fitted a strip of LEDs to the bottom of the tailgate. Means can us the tailgate as an illuminated awning, currently wired into the number plate lights, to test the idea, but will need a different supply unless I want to keep the side lights on whenever I use it. Fitted some draught excluders to the windows. Meaning I can have ventilation without rain blowing in when parked. Today visited a friend who was having a clear out. Two of these found a home with me, thinking of fixing them together to make the basis of a cooker pod. Also got given a medium sized office cupboard, which will probably become a tool cupboard at the shed Rubbish picture as its trapped in by my stock of veg oil. Just need to print off a "tax" disc now. Ttfn Glenn

Almost made the mistake of buying a diesel sintra many many years ago. The worst car in the uk for 3 years running, but you couldn't point at the faults, as the seats had a habit of chopping off fingers, Best of luck with it, Glenn

If you fancy a van type vehicle, how about a people carrier? Once the seats are out they are pretty spacious inside, most come with plenty of toys, some models are cheap to buy but suffer horrendous toad tax rates though, there's a couple of French ones which are only converted vans, Citroen berlingo multispace for example Ttfn Glenn

God i hate poxy forums where you have to register to frickin read anything! Sorry didn't realise it was in the sign up bit, but I only linked it as a courtesy to the original source of the information I posted. A worse problem seems to be, the build info has disappeared from the kingfisher site. They were asked to build the buggys, had meeting with the 3 monkeys to discuss what was to be built, built them, then delivered them. Almost like a reality show script, with faulty/wrong parts turning up, delivery date being moved forward, etc etc. Please be aware of product placement/advertising in the show, tyres and shocks for example Stops me from feeling guilty for watching it free on exodus Ttfn Glenn

The thing which irked me most about that episode is how obviously false it was. I'm sure someone will find those cars have been sold to them "as is" off a buggy forum . Beach buggy forum provides www.beachbuggy.info/index.php/topic,9551.0.html They were built to order, www.kingfisherkustoms.co.uk/buggies-to-order/Also say to search Facebook for Martin Cox who works at kingfisher and has posted build pictures Ttfn Glenn

Audi v6 with Quattro locked and front driveshafts removed? Or a flat 6 option, doing the same with Subaru running gear Wonder what the supercharged jag v6 would be like to transplant? Ttfn Glenn

and the jag v6 is basically a ford v6, the same as the one Noble based their turbo version on..... And I believe the same one that Guy Martin stuck in his transit, to go after some American speed record Ttfn Glenn

Probably urban myth, but many years ago I was told that most ford engines were the same bore, capacities were changed using different crank throws, it may be possible to find pistons from a shorter throw motor Ttfn Glenn

93fxdl what do you think now you've had them for a few nights? Do you have a link to where/ who you got yours from? They have improved the lights immensely, a couple of times with the old lights I was on high beam without noticing, or getting flashed at,I still need to adjust my lights, to try and get a better spread of light, I seem to have one in the hedge and one a bit low, the dip beam cut off is not as defined as with halogens, so might fail mot, but since they are simple plug and play, it would be easy to swap back. I got mine from amazon, but cannot seem to post a link. Might be better to look for Philips led lamps, Provided the LEDs last as long as they are supposed to, they provide better lights for a bargain price, in my case I would have needed to upgrade the loom and fit fancy short lived halogens to get anywhere near the same level of lighting. Ttfn Glenn This may be a link, but last time I tried, it just brought up the amazon home page. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01LER2PZ0/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482184747&sr=8-1π=SY200_QL40&keywords=h4+led

Went for a spin last night, The lights are much brighter than before, I will be checking the alignment as I am paranoid about dazzling others since they are so bright. Seem to emphasize shadows, and the glare from reflective road signs can be distracting, I would not say they are better than modern headlamps with good bulbs and wiring, but has mad a big difference to the poor lighting system on my t4. On any vehicle with a marginal electrical system I would suggest it is a good upgrade, But LED headlights are a bit of a minefield as to quality, Ttfn Glenn
