Progress has been a bit slow on Fungus lately, installed extra power points which are still to be wired in. Picked up a set of alloys with tyres to spruce up Fungus Just leant in place to see how Fungus looks with new boots, just need to sort some new wheel bolts. Currently having starting problems, checks point towards glow plug issues, just need to get moving with fitting the new ones I bought months ago. Ttfn Glenn Ps once started, runs fine on straight vegetable oil

5.15!!! You do like a lie in don't you, by then I had dog walked, breakfast done and in the car heading for work. Nice progress with the "non project" If you are getting crud in your nose when media blasting, you really should look at wearing a respirator, lung damage is not funny Ttfn Glenn

I can definitely see your point of view, personally I like there not being too many sub forums, the t4/5/6 forum I visit has, in my opinion too many sub sections, trying to find a particular thread can be a nightmare, which sub section of which subforum. There's times I find the pot luck nature enjoyable, finding vehicles, skills and ideas, New to me Ttfn Glenn

So, the basic tat hauler which was not a project, and was not to soak up funds, has now become? With yesterday's news, perhaps you should try a Vauxhall badge on Prozac Ttfn Glenn

A piece of bar the size of your holes with a cutter from a tap seating tool fixed backwards to the end, with drill on the outside and pull back to cut the faces, may have to run the drill backwards. Didn't notice the prices, since they are mainly for aircraft work that makes sense, hate to think how many I have used in the past Ttfn Glenn unfortunately my pillar drill doesnt do backwards so id have to use my hand drill, in which case I can use a simpler normal cutter. Almost all the spotfacing I used to do was with hand drills, the important Part was the size of the pilot, so that the cutter was kept at 90 to the hole, hand drills are perfectly capable of doing accurate spot facing Ttfn Glenn

The only downside being, I am not a fan of the faux retro styling, both the beetle and the fiat 500 just strike me as a marketing ploy, as opposed to an evolution of the original Ttfn Glenn I suppose they are a bit of a ploy, but I suppose the 500 was replaced with the 126, Panda, Cinquecento, Seicento & then Panda again & the Beetle was replaced by the Golf. So by bringing them back and making them retro styled it means you get some of the look with all the mod cons. To me both the originals were basic utilitarian transport, I think of the UP as filling that market segment for vw now, the current beetle is several levels up. Or you could say the 911 is the true decendant of the original beetle, through its many evolutions Ttfn Glenn

Wonder how much longer this thread will be relevant? Just about every motorsport venue is getting hounded by the likes of elf n safety, noise police etc, or being redeveloped into urban sprawl, A local to me does racing, the cars he uses are pretty much beyond redemption, but all parts are for sale and if someone wants the whole car, a deal can be usually be struck, Ttfn Glenn
