It's not connected to anything, I suspect that there should be some sort of clamp or support that goes round the strut, but I got these secondhand so I'm unsure about that bit

Only the base section was 3mm with a 20mm flange folded on, this was done in a vice with a big hammer, and my arms still hurt
The sides were then welded on in 1.5mm, there was no need for the whole section to be 3mm, the 20mm flange will add lots of stiffness more than suitable for jacking up on

Any more detailed photo's of where the rollover things are attached to? They look simple and easy to work with. Yes they bolt to the hubs

Thanks Guys and just to confirm the reason for using 3mm plate on that section of chassis leg, and not the regular 1.5mm
David wants to be able to use those points to jack the car up in the future without fear of the legs getting damaged

Just caught up with this thread, some excellent panel making going on there, especially like the MDF formers, great job, and bookmarked now

Looks great. Only thing I would consider would be the shape of the lights. Looks like the angle of the car is pretty close to the angle on the lights so could follow that through on the side of the spoiler? Would mean moving the corner pretty much over the split for the boot, though... Yes I looked at that, but then the view from the front didn't look right, I guess it's always a compromise.
