Forgot to update this My cars all fit ok and I can work on them not too bad. I built a car port, not the best thing in the world. I used heavy duty plastic sheeting to waterproof it, which is holding up ok, but I’m going to change it to ridged clear roof sheets, it’s stronger and there will be more light coming through. I attached it to the concrete fence posts. Main thing I need to do is put plastic sheeting stuff on the floor and then get some gravel down, not ideal if you drop a bit or bolt but it’s easier and cheaper than slabs. Will get it sorted in the springtime. I’ve done everything on my own so I’m pretty chuffed with how it’s all turned out. Loads of things I’m sure could be done to a better standard etc but the whole project has cost about £2000, which I don’t think is too bad, If I had have paid someone. I’m sure the cost would have been 5k or more.

What have you been buying for your m3? My plans for this year are to leave the escort mk2 in the garage, get my Capri back from restoration and probably park that up for a bit. I’ve got a z4 I inherited which I need to get sorted as my sister wants it at her wedding as it was our dads car. My m3 I’ve currently got no front suspension on it as I’m doing a refresh job on it. Once that’s done. I’ll start on the back, it’s abit too new I think for here. Yikes, your refresh sounds expensive! Are you going stock? I've just bought the following: -Genuine Prop Guibo and Prop Bearing with carrier ; I don't want to do that job again and I'm not really looking forward to being full underneath the car! -X8R mid-section to back box clamps with gaskets. -Castrol 10W60 Oil ; OK, that was an ECP specialist The Guibo and Bearing are a job I've put off ever since I bought the car ; the guibo has a crack on it and there is a clunk/noise coming from the bearing area with a vibration that comes and goes and 50MPH and 80ish. I'll be adding soon to the list: -New thermostat (Wahler or Genuine) with BMW or G48 coolant -Rod bearings as an insurance policy given the mileage and age of my car ; it's had a bearing recall previously at some point ; How pricey are S54 engines? -Wheel refurb (my fault) or get the CSL copies. ; that will be miles away. I was debating selling it last year but no matter how you look at it no package with that level of stuff comes cheap except the 350z, where you lose practicality and an engine note. I'll fix my cars to a better standard. I'll also lower my expectations to a more reasonable standard. This is why I didn't buy top not bits for the M3 ; oh wait. That's the mk1 that was done on wheeler dealers? I used to drive past it parked on someone's drive - few years ago though Yes, Wheeler Dealer mk1. Was is on my drive in Horsham that you saw it? I really can’t remember. It wasn’t long after the show first aired, I was working all over the place,

I have a dimplex over door heater, works well, Blows warm air around well, and not bad to run, not sure on cost to buy as I "borrowed" mine when the firm I worked for went bust. Interesting you say that as having only a single garage, floor space is at a premium so that over door jobbie may be an idea for me! Hi,
Looking for a good quality normally open relay, which I can use to energise the fuel pump on a 2005 BMW, I basically want to have a fuel pump kill switch,
I'm looking for a good quality relay, hoping to keep away from a cheap relay that will probably catch fire.
Anyone know where I can get a quality one?

I've got a z4 with the 2.2 engine, isn't the best but still 170bhp but is a straigh 6 so does sound good atleast Z3's are a bit more retro. Might be able to get a Porsche boxter project. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222631095415

As photo bucket no longer works, Ive added a few pics on postimage, So this is what I started with, single garage, leaking and poor condition positioned across the garden wasting space on both side so that's why I moved it to one side and built the ground up. Built gates, and replaced and extended the fence to be inline with the neighbours garages, still need to finish the bottoms though. Knocked the old garage down Used sections of garage to build up the sides to level the area Filled all the side with rubble from the garage and then used the soil from under the z4 to keep levelling the area Mocked up a garage base, the cemented it all in Built some frames and built the garage I added a feather edge fence in front of the horrible concrete sections, And now I'm at the point I am now. Carport, guttering, gravel and that should see this project finished.

I just painted everything white inside, built a shelf and put some lights and sockets in. Also used all the new space to park my cars. When I started there was space for 1 car and one small car but it was diffficult to get it it, Now three cars up there and there still room to work on them, and could possibly squeeze 4 cars If needed but wouldn't be easy. Paul.

Been a while. I've built it now, and tidied up the area to the side, just need to build a car port off the side add some guttering and gravel it all. Not a perfect build as I'm just having ago at it to keep costs down, but it's good enough for what I need and I'm quite happy with the end result.
