Quick question,
What's the best paint to paint coil springs? Don't want it to all just crack and peel off after a few months.
Thanks

I used Rustoleum when I refurbed the suspension on the Monza 2 or 3 years ago and none of it has flaked or cracked.

2K spray paint is very hard wearing and you can add plasticiser to it for painting flexible things, I would think that would be easily good enough for springs. I guess you can do the same to other paint types. I've used it in 2K for painting motorbike plastics including off road mudguards that get bent a lot. Obviously you are responsible for your own safety if using 2K.

I'd suggest something you can brush on - depending on how your springs sit, my experience is that there are inevitable scratches and scrapes when fitting them, particularly if they need to be compressed to go on. Something brushable can be touched up once they're in place.

I would try and contact a company called BuzzWeld. They have a range of different maint for various applications and sure to have something durable enough for this sort of paintwork. www.buzzweld.co.uk/
